Thanks for the review. Question - if the rear speakers don’t work for our setup, am I able to just disconnect them without interfering with the sound? Or will the soundbar still try and output sound to the rear speakers (leaving us with missing sounds)?

Yes it will not connect if you dont use them! However if you think you can't every use them I would look at the HW-800D because its a vary similar soundbar and subwoofer but doesnt come with the rear speakers. You can disconnect them. The soundbar wont play to speakers that arent there since it recognizes whats connected and whats not

Do this one have a music surround mode for music with rear speakers , i got a Samsung hw-q90r soundbar the sound is great , but if I want to lissen to music I need to go voor standaard mode this is the only mode in stereo 😭 for music ,

​@@WaltsTVIt has surround mode, but in my opinion it would work better in not so small spaces....and the woofer is kinda tricky were to locate it, coz too close to the bar I feel it doesn't blend well with it....

I can get this for £900. Am i better getting the arc ultra and sub but sacrifice the rear channels for now. If i do eventually get them then it would cost 3 times the price of the 990d. Is it noticeabley better ?

I am going to go with no... only because there is already included height / rear speakers, I really dont think you would need any more, and if you think you do then you probably should look more at hardwired traditional surround systems. Downside to that is the cost of course.

Hi I am purchased recently this sound bar of q990d , I am facing one issue is that, while watching movies sound in Normal voice and surround sounds if we set then while music or song comes then sound automatically increasing and every time I am reducing sound manually ..... can u please help to give any best settings for this......means sound level not coming equal for normal movie and movie with music or song.... movies with song going high sound always and sound reducing for normal movies when music not there

well keep in mind surround speakers are not meant for you to hear them always, only when there is surround sounds behind you. When listening to music alot of the time there is something called all channel stereo which will turn them on

The problem with these samsung bars are the subwoofer..the bass is disappointing. I still use the 2020 Q990T , wish samsung wl pay more attention to the bass. I'm a samsung fan but im leaning towards sonos setup now. Waiting for sonos arc ultra release

What? Then something with your subwoofer isn't right. I'm bought this model a week ago and the bass is absolutely amazing. You can even maximize the power in the smart things app.

It's at a great price right now but i just don't like the look of it. Very cheap design , i would rather pay a little more and have a great looking system. Maybe next year they will release a new system and not a Q990E or something

Yeah the 990 B C and D have not changed the design very much so I agree!

@WaltsTV to be honest if they changed it to a modern design at a little higher price range i would prefer it to Sonos i think. Just because all audio codecs are supported. I think for the price they are charging for just the Arc it's inexcusable at this moment.
