Back in the day, my grandparents had this news reporter they loved, because he was known to be honest, unbiased, accurate and thorough. They would watch him on TV all the time. Pete Thorn is that guy of guitar videos. The best in the biz!

Pete, you're just unbelievable. One of the best players in the business, and definitely the best pedal demo creator. Thanks for all these fantastic demos.

I got this pedal yesterday. It is very musical and has a huge variety of tones. By changing which inputs you choose to use you can drastically change the characteristics of how it interacts with the guitar. It is like having 5 or 6 awesome boost/overdrive pedals and you choose your favorite 3 to use. It always leaves the tone of your guitar and individual notes intact. Of course you may need an extra 15,000 hours of play time to use it with the touch Pete has. Cheers and thanks for the video.

I like mid output single coils, PAF strength humbuckers, nd as far as necks I like Suhr's compound radius boards (either the 9-12 radius or the 10-14, i like em both) and I like their "vintage C standard" neck.. on a Les Paul I like a 59 type neck- not too big, not too small

That pedal and that amp sounds amazing with the pedal pushing the OD but I love how the dry signal into the amp only is considered "clean". Far from clean to be honest.

@PeteThorn11 жыл бұрын
Ya, it was breaking up a bit for sure- but only with that pickup, which is like a 14K humbucker. With a single coil or 8k PAF- it'd be pretty much clean. But, ya. :) Wasn't exactly "clean", I agree. That's why I'm not really a hi output humbucker guy! Pickup still sounds very good, but it's hot and will break up the input of many amps.

Another great video! Video request: how many overdrive/distortion/fuzz pedals do you own and more importantly, what are the top 3 choices for you personally as of now in 2017? By top 3, I mean the 3 pedals you use the most when playing live. If you also do studio musician work, is it the same 3 and if not, which ones are the best for either situation and why?

I have this pedal and I like it. This video pushed me over the edge when I decided to get it. I currently run it side 1 into side 2 when stacked. I also run a Koko Boost Reloaded to push the Paisley side into heavy gain territory. On the Euphoria side, the midboost from the Koko gives me a really nice, full bodied lead sound. Really happy with that combo. I am running it to an Express 5:50+. Cheers!

@joshrdealmusic11 жыл бұрын
I think his demo is useful. A clean Fender is actually the easiest and perhaps laziest way to set up good platform for pedals (to me), but not everyone wants that sound. If you want a Vox style or more chimey British sound, it often sounds better to hear how an overdrive melds with the natural drive. If it doesn't change anything too much but still adds it's own flavor, you probably have a winner.

Hello Mr. Thorn! Love your demos!!! Just wondering, I have to do some "fly" gigs where I may only have a hot rod deluxe and wondering if you recommend the Wampler dual fusion or the Suhr riot reloaded into an amp that is pretty clean. I usually play through Marshall 30th anniversary heads more or less JCM 900 on steroids sound. Just looking for something that will be adequate. Thanks for the help!
