Best pedal reviews on KZbin, for sure. Also the worst, because I think "oh, with this pedal I can sound like this!" and then I have to remember that I'm still a newb and I need about 10 more years of practice before I can sound like this. Oh well. I better get on that.

Thanks for the kind words! I still need to practice every day. These pedals just make it more fun!

Killer playing into one of the best pedals ever. I have a real Plexi and a Plexi drive pedal. It may be hard to believe, but for rock settngs they are hard to tell apart.

Wampler Plexi Drive Mini VS Xotic SL Drive ... the later has been on my main pedalboard for 10 years now ... both run at 9v - 18volts mid push bass boost in both (SL Drive internal dipswitches) can't wait to try this put against it, wampler are fantastic.
@MathewsGuitarWorks3 жыл бұрын
The PlxDr sounds more like a real plexi compared to the SL to my ears. The SL has tighter and more gain (at 9v). I haven’t had time to do anything else with them. I may do a shoot out between them both and put it on my YT channel.

@@paulcowart3174 So far, I can say I prefer the SL over the Plexi dr. I think if I were only playing at home and wanted the sensation of the extra bass response, the Plexi dr is good but the extra bass may get lost in a band setting. Honestly the SL drive and the EHX OD Glove are my two favorite marshall in a box pedals ever made. The OD Glove wins simply bc it had an internal 9v > 18v switch that doesn’t require an 18v power supply to run the OD Glove like the SL. The SL wins when space is a concern. I’ll never get rid of my EHX OD Glove or my SL Dr. The Wampler Plexi Dr will be up on ebay after I shoot a few quick vids comparing them all.

I have this Wampler Plexi Mini Drive and it sounds incredibly like my Marshall 1959HW Handwired Plexi. Brian makes killer pedals. Wampler uses the beast quality parts in there Pedal's. I own several, there as cools as my amps. quality USA made Pedals.

Brian apparently acquired the rights to Bon’s DNA and injected a fragment into each pedal. Highly illegal of course, but don’t tell anyone.

The only thing that drives me crazy about most of these types of pedal reviews is the constant fidgeting with the knobs. There's never any rhyme or reason as to why they're turning them this way or that. Start at noon and slowly add or decrease one at a time while playing the same riff. Idk why its always like an ADHD kid randomly turning one knob this way or that way. It gets annoying when so many pedal reviews are like this.
@rasm0225 Жыл бұрын
Yeah. So annoying when there are a variety of great sounds and a clear view of how the pedal was set. Especially the first couple minutes with hearing how it sounds in a full mix.
