@wrightdude Thanks for your compliment and constructive criticism! This was from a while back, shortly after I started doing these demos and I feel like I've made many improvements over time. Removing the vocal mic bleed has been something I've been making an effort to improve upon and the last few I've done, you'll hear a big difference. Hopefully I can go back and redo some of the Wampler demos and others for better performance and/or production quality.

older demo, getting one of these next month to add to my Wampler collection, great pedals. Word to the wise, the crunch cream contour is designed to only work using the boost which is a fuzz circuit laid on the high gain dist tone. Just FYI, dialing this puppy in makes for the most intense and articulate high gains in pedal.

Contour is only for the boost circuit from smoother to fuzz. Look up Lucas Fowler's demo 10 mins of great sound and running this puppy through the paces with some great playing. This pedal is the most articulate and intense high gain, period!

Nice review, well done.

Mentioned above the crunch.cream only works on the boost circuit which is a fuzz circuit laid on the high dist tone. Spinning the crunch without the boost on does nothing, cats. Crank the low, notch the mids dwn just a touch and treb about 1:00 and hold on to your chains. Fuzz boost designed for lead over the top gain up not a clean boost circuit. Not intended for chords outside simple 5ths and such.

Great demo.... one minor nit... is it possible to site further from the mic so there is less acoustic pick-to-string bleeding through?

The crunch cream knob doesn't do anything until you activate the boost side of the pedal FYI

Why does this sound so muddy? Because of clean amp setting?
@honeybadger844312 жыл бұрын
I've read that the cream/crunch control works only when boost is engaged, is it right ?

Is this overdrive or distortion? I know it says distortion, but I thought tried to emulate a mesa amp which have overdrive and not distortion... I'm confused.

Yeah. You're right. I dunno why he adjusted that setting without turning it on haha. Obviously didn't understand that he was tinkering with it for no reason haha. Otherwise he did a good job.

Can u let me know if it's normal for squealing to begin when the gain is past 3?

Lol, the crunch cream knob doesn't do anything unless the boost is engaged. It's a frequency control for the boost. Derp.

Can I use it as overdrive?

i liked the demo. but i think the sovereign is more Mesa inspired tone than the triple wreck. the single notes denounces it better on the sovereign than on the triple wreck im getting a Triple Wreck next week, but after i listened to the Sovereign, im completely in doubt about it. Q: / ahahahahahahahah
