Wampler Triumph & Phenom Collective Series Drive Pedals

My Phenom pedal came to me " broken". All of the demo vid's on here sound great. Mine sucks. I got it at reduced rate from Guitar center ( I believe? Been a while") because it was the instore demo model. Oh how I wish I just bought a new one for 10 dollars more! I can tell that if working correctly it would sound great. My bad. I learned the hard way not to try and save a couple bucks, literarily... I have had a small number of bad experiences buying 2nd hand pedals online. From now on just NEW when it comes to pedals.

Hey there from Alabama ....so I KNOW the Triumph is a cheaper pedal cost wise than the Pinnacle ....but ....just how close is the tones????? I can get a used Pinnacle for the price of a new Triumph!!!!

Thank you very much for the kind words. I work hard to keep on top of phrasing and feel in my playing. It’s difficult in videos because my mind is often on other things (video, audio, getting the info right). Plus I find it hard to stay ‘fresh’ just sat on my own with no band or other player to vibe with. Glad it’s somewhat coming across 🤣 cheers!

So how did the pedals feel? I am mainly wondering about the phenom distortion pedal.

Felt good. The overdrive feels very familiar given the circuits it’s inspired by. The distortion, as I said in the video, isn’t super tight. Quite compressed feeling at certain settings.
