When you said it was spring and showed he calf’s it made me appreciate the world and realise that if the seasons are opposite then of course the animals would be born at different times to us as well x
@KayAndDomDoLife6 жыл бұрын
haha it took us some getting used to when we first got here to come from everything turning into spring in the UK, straight into autumn when we first arrived here in NZ! To be honest, we're still referring to the seasons/time of year in UK version because our brains can't keep up with the change around as we talk!! 😂

Is it weird that when you showed Flo down at the bottom of the hill I waved to her ?😂😂😂😂😂 This video was stunning but the stress it gives every time Dom picks up a power tool is excessive! Much love xx
@KayAndDomDoLife6 жыл бұрын
hahahaha they say 'no sense no feeling' so we've decided even if I lose my finger i shouldn't feel it too much, right?! 😂We love Flo-spotting when we're on hikes, it gives us a sense of how far we have (or haven't!!) got along 😂😊 xx

KayAndDomDoLife I’ll try not to worry too much then 😂 (As long as you have a first aid kit to stem the bleeding) and I suppose that after all the years you have been together Kay has become an expert at first aid 🤞🤣🤣🤣

All the memories from my trip to NZ in february just came back. My husband and I went on the jetboats, spent a night in Wanaka and hiked to the glacier. It hasn`t been a year and we are already saving to go back to NZ.

I don't blame you one bit, it's a beautiful place! I highly recommend hiking Queenstown hill if you stay in QT next time, and heading out towards Bobs cove and Moke lake 😊

I'm not sure what you mean about the title Lizzie...... not thinking rude are we? 😮😂 (i did the exact same the first time i saw it!!) The lake is slightly tidal i think - i've definitely seen pictures of it standing on rocks not water but i think Willow trees are pretty resilient anyway so he doesn't mind a bit of a dip in the water 😂 Kay did a great job of climbing up there herself, only problem is she forgot the old 'what goes up must come down' theory!! Thanks for your support Lizzie 😊❤️xxx

@@KayAndDomDoLife Sorry! I was talking about the Rob Roy Glacier track.... where you stopped was the 1st lookout. The path goes on for another 30-45 minutes to the top where you get to see the glacier up close and personal. Apparently lots people stop at the 1st lookout. ..
@KayAndDomDoLife6 жыл бұрын
Sorry Amy not sure how i missed this comment to reply to. Kay replied to your first comment and i take her down so many tracks she doesn't know each one by name! haha The track was closed for Avi risk at that point in the year so you weren't allowed past the first lookout. I'm thinking of sticking it on the agenda for the way back south though especially seeing as we couldn't really get close to Fox or Franz :)

I've been to NZ before but only on cruises so you're only at the ports for half a day before you have to get back on the ship. Seeing your videos has shown me how much I really want to go back and visit all the beauty this country has to offer. My Dad and I always have talked about a trip together to visit the Lord of the Rings filming locations and you guys have inspired me to stop talking and actually start planning! Thank you !

That's so cool! that'll be such an awesome trip to go on with your dad too! Everything LOTR is on the internet of course, but if you need or want any of our recommendations as you go through your plans then let us know 😊 We always feel torn about cruises - you get to see a heap of places in one trip but it's so hard to see a place properly, as you say. Glad we could inspire you to come back again 😊

@KayAndDomDoLife6 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much Anna 😊😊 The walk is called the Rob Roy Track and the DOC website reckons it's 3-4 hours for the entire track, though we had to stop at the first lookout because of avalanche risk (May-November). Here is the link for the walk 😊 www.doc.govt.nz/parks-and-recreation/places-to-go/otago/places/mount-aspiring-national-park/things-to-do/tracks/rob-roy-track/
