Fascinating! I do love seeing different wand designs. I have a small collection, but basically two that really speak to me. One is a more stand piece, Mahogany wood, and has an almost full length spiral. This reminds me that things often take a curved path, and can gather both pace and power as they do so. The other was made especially for me, and is English Oak, with a carved wolf's head. It reminds me that whatever face you show the outside world, you cannot change your inner nature. You are what you are and must make piece with the beast inside.
