Sometimes people also underestimate Wanda's intelligence mostly because it tends to be overshadowed by her emotional instability. Wanda pulling off that runes trick against a master witch like Agatha was incredibly impressive. Strange had the Ancient One and it's high time Wanda got a teacher too. In a way, Agatha did also taught her so much in such a short span of time so props to Agatha too. Wanda has a great raw power but she just lacks knowledge.

I think Agatha was corrupted by the Darkhold, but the normal part of her was trying to teach Wanda (it was not in her interests to do so yet she still did) the dark part of her accentuated by the Darkhold, wanted the chaos magic. I think, free of the Darkhold, she'll eventually she will become more like the mentor Agatha of the comics.

In the comics, she's wearing mostly a cape at shoulder/neck level, but here she's wearing a cape at waist level. Which I think is better because like Edna Mode said in Incredibles: "No cape!". This scene hits differently after Multiverse of Madness. Agatha unintentionally helped Wanda become the Scarlet Witch. She told her about the Darkhold and everything. WandaVision basically set the stage for Wanda to go dark but we ignored it because we were focused on her dealing with her grief and moving on. I think having her snap in the Multiverse of Madness was a necessary part of her journey and now the healing can begin.

The end of WV presented somewhat of an optimism of Wanda's journey to grief, that she seemingly accepted and embraced it. But in MOM, she became evil because of it, which negated all the messages WandaVision was supposed to deliver. i understand the Darkhold corrupted her. But i wish there was a scene showing HOW it corrupted her so everything made sense without hurting WandaVision

In this case, Wanda has full realization that she is someone she doesn't necessarily like. She's not happy because life has put her through the ringer.... It's because she knows (or well just figured out) no matter how much power you have, it doesn't make a person happy. Once you get to the top, it's just the top, so to speak. It's not as special as you thought it was. Why? Having power and control ALWAYS comes with responsibility. One CANNOT be without the other. (Like yin and yang) When most people get to the top, they struggle with the responsibility side of the power. And then pretty soon their power side crumbles under it. For example, when Scar took over the pride lands in the lion king, everything turned dark and black. The plants died and the other animals left. Sure, scar now had "the crown" and was able to do whatever he wanted, but he could barely feed himself, much less the lionesses. If Simba hadn't shown up he would have starved the whole kingdom! What then if you have no subjects to rule over? You end up all alone.

I think this has to do all about Lagos, and her post-Westview crisis. "Civil War" act begins with Wanda's lack of strategy and control over her powers (when she could perform minor spells); after "waking up" from the Hex, she became aware of the suffering she was putting all those people through. Now that she has become the Scarlet With, Wanda is embracing her whole nature (as well as stealing Agatha's powers) therefore, Wanda "not being happy" is because she's well aware that she can cause even GREATER damage and suffering than those she caused in Lagos or Westview.

And as we can see in WandaVision, part of the danger in that is that she's so powerful that she can warp reality on a massive scale _on accident._ That's her whole arc: figuring out how to navigate the world when she's a goddess in a world of supers. I don’t think the scarlet witch is someone who can be drained once activated. Like I 100% do think Wanda was using an illusion enchantment to fool Agatha into thinking she had deteriorated to full floating corpse status. But you’d think she would still have the zombie hands after dropping her illusion since that happened when she still had little idea that she was the Supreme of all witches. But her black hands also restored to full health. I think Wanda pre-Diadem was only working with like 0.000001% of her true power and as soon as she finally accepted her crown after successfully casting witchcraft runes and no longer thought she only had psychokinetic powers from the mindstone experiments, that repressed energy started to slowly manifest-at first just healing her, but quickly becoming such a concentrated singularity of power that it was like a black hole and drained Agatha of all the power she had stolen from countless covens starting with Salem. I do love the idea of her activation being like some sort of singularity event because I love the theory of Kang’s threshold being her ascension. It makes sense because she is the living embodiment of the entire multiverse’s chaos magic in the MCU and after Kang’s “threshold,” his sacred timeline instantly splits into a multiverse of infinite chaos. Also just want to point out that Fox tried and failed twice to do something similar with the Phoenix Force saga and Disney is showing that it CAN be done! I don’t know if the Phoenix Force is even relevant in the MCU with Wanda being a Nexus Being, but this gives me hope that someday Disney will actually give us a successful depiction of Jean Grey’s dark descent into madness and cosmic power.

Oh god plz not another “Dark Phoenix” saga. They did it TWICE in the live-action movies and in every animated version of the X-Men already. That story is tired as hell and not even that good. Next we’ll have to watch Uncle Ben and Bruce Wayne’s parents die again. The X-Men have other stories to tell too so thank god it’s not up to Fox or Sony anymore. One thing you can count on the MCU for, is to not rehash the same old tired shit, but to tell stories in their own way with their own twists, with little more than easter egg nods to the comics.

They had to set up her powers and show us and Wanda why she needs to learn more about them before she can truly wield it, it outlined Wanda’s trauma, showed us how she handles her grief and the things she thinks will make her happy which directly led into the events of MoM after she’s learned about her powers and has the knowledge to obtain what she wants, wandavision made it obvious that she wasn’t truly at peace after letting the hex go and showed us that she’s going to learn about her powers by reading the darkhold, she had to make a big mistake and go a little mad to finally realize how badly she’s traumatized, Wandavision just showed recap of Wanda’s journey and insight on Wanda’s desires and mental state. I think she was meant to go mad and “die” after screwing up so bad so she can finally start fresh and cope in healthier ways. They’ll probably explain more of the lore around Wanda’s prophecy and magic like cthon and the multiverse once she finds peace within herself and her reality.

I finally realized what makes Wanda's magic in particular so strong (besides being fueled by an infinity stone) and clever. It's bc it's so much more physical and instinctual for her. Agatha has to use spells, spoken words, a hair etc, and even when she doesn't do something outwardly, since she learned from texts, logic suggests she has to at least think of the spells themselves to do them. That splits her attention the slightest bit. Wanda's magic is much more like an interpretive dance, no need for spells and such to take away from pushing all her energy into the raw power, or the sneakiness or whatever, within the magic itself. idk if this made sense but hopefully someone gets it lol

Hmm... I wonder if Agatha was onto something when she said Wanda as the Scarlet Witch is doomed to destroy the world? I mean there has been lots of foreshadowing in regards to that: 1) Wanda is associated with death: she was present when her parents died, her brother died and was even forced to kill her beloved. 2) She almost destroyed the world as she was the one that made Tony paranoid enough to build Ultron and even helped the android with his plans to destroy everything (albeit unknowingly). 3) She's heavily associated with strife and war as it was kind of her fault civil war occurred in the first place as she accidentally blew up a building while telekinetically levitating a bomber. All this shows that despite being a reluctant fighter and not meaning to cause harm, she always winds up doing so and death follows the poor woman around. I genuinely think she is going to become an antivillain or antagonist in Dr. Strange 2.

Remember he only had a few days before the scepter would have been taken into custody, so even if he still had the thought afterwards it is much more likely he could have been talked out of it by the time he got something as powerful as the mind stone to do it again.

And technically the Darkhold is responsible for the way Wanda acted in MoM. Yes it was her desire to reunite with her children but the murder was definitely the Darkhold's fault. Wanda's last line of dialogue in this show is literally "i'm sorry for all the pain i caused. I don't understand this power, but i will". She's determined to do better. So i don't think her acting the way she did in MoM was truly her doing. The movie explicitly states that but for some reason people choose to ignore it.
