Cube Warden (Marvel 616)- Even as a child, this man exhibted exhibited cruel and merciless tendencies, becoming obsessed with finding the perfect hiding place where no one could see him and he could play his hidden little games according to his own rules. As an adult, he became warden of a “top-secret government facility” (like S.W.O.R.D) that technically doesn't exist, the Cube, a super-villain "rehabilitation" facility located in an undisclosed location, in charge of extra-terrestrial criminals who possess no legal standing in the United States, putting them completely at his mercy.[1] One such inmate was Noh-Varr, a “Kree” (upcoming Secret Invasion movie) warrior from “another reality” (multiverse reference) who traveled to this reality with a Kree team who were all linked by an alien supercomputer into a living hive-mind (alien supercomputer hive minds was mentioned in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D). When his compatriots were slaughtered, Noh-Varr's mind essentially shut down, being pervaded and abused by the warden until he became his “own personal living weapon (Hayward’s obsessed with living weapons) ”.2 Abilities Experienced torturer. Some possible “surgical” (they did surgery on vision to cut him up) and psychological training. Am I grasping at straws here or does a little bit like Hayward. Is he based off from some parts of the Cube Warden? He could be a future villain since cube warden is also associated with the Young Avengers, the Kree, and one of Wanda’s children Wiccan.

Hayward is the general ross character on the show. It's the one thing that irks me about the show. So far it has been clever in satirizing classic sitcom tropes. But then falls into the annoying cliche bad government official trope.

@@FinalStigma Oh, I was just pointing out those particular bits of dialogue that hint at Mephisto, but my bet is still on Nightmare, Lord of the Dream Dimension - you tend not to remember how dreams start and Wanda's insisted more than once now that she can't remember how the current situation of her 'dream' life started. I think Nightmare even makes sense with the 'advert' in this episode, and he's the shark sucking the life out of Wanda to mess with the physical world, which I'm guessing he wouldn't normally be able to do.

He said his purpose is to cause more grief. He showed up when Vision was trying to get through to Wanda to cause a distraction.

@@VexedViewer I'm not sure if he was gaslighting her. I think they show has gone to a lot of lengths to convince use that Wanda is in control but there is of course a massive origins question. Evans character struck me as someone powerful and mischievous. He was completely self aware of the illusion but rather than fear or concern the vibe I got off him was....lets say a combination of curious and impressed. I really hope they didn't cast Evans for no other reason than to fool the fans. That wouldn't be a fun twist, just a dick move.

So many to talk about and so many theories: - Evan Peters’ is NOT MCU’s Pietro (and Wanda knows it) & he keeps fishing for infos from Wanda.. WHO is he? - Wanda do all of this.. but somehow doesn’t really know how and why? - Hayward is a douchebag, and he clearly wants Vision back in any way he can ugh - What if by the end of the episode, Wanda widening The Hex thus creating mutants in the process? - What’s with the commercial omg Love your reaction guys!

@@sirmoonslosthismind Nightmare could absolutely be a big bad overseeing things like Thanos or something. This show leads into DS2 and Nightmare has been rumored as a villain there for a long time. I still think Agnes is Agatha Harkness. We just don't know if she's all bad or not. I think she helped Wanda so she could help make this happen for some reason (possibly helping a bigger villain) and she got stuck inside the Hex when she wasn't supposed to be part of it. That's why she wants out so bad but also understands what Wanda's up to and how bad things could get. She's going to end up a very layered character, IMO.

10:42 you notice how, other than the bloody bullet-holes, Evan Peters looks JUST LIKE Nightmare from the comics in this shot -- including the ghastly white face and wacky hair. Either the MCU is COMBINING the roles of Mephisto and Nightmare into ONE character, or the two Marvel Comics archdevils are having some twisted CONTEST to see who can win Wanda's soul/allegiance. Nightmare's powers are also SIMILAR to Wanda's in that he can change people's subjective realities -- but eventually people wake up from his induced nightmares. Wouldn't he LOVE to gain access to Wanda's powers to make those nightmares TRULY REAL and lasting? Also, people that remain trapped in Nightmare's realms eventually wither away -- just like the boy in the commercial.

Before this episode, I dismissed Hayward as a major villain, but now it seems otherwise. I think HE was how Wanda found out where Vision's body was kept. He must have suspected Wanda could make her desires real and Hayward could have pushed her in that direction -- thus bringing Vision back to life and giving him the weapon that his team was clearly NOT able to bring back at SWORD labs.

Also, Shangri-La is a common terminology for a generic heavenly reality, kinda like Nirvana. It has nothing to do with Shang-Chi, at least in the comics. And I believe THIS episode is THE episode that ties Wanda to Doctor Strange as you mentioned. Nightmare was Doctor Strange's very FIRST enemy in the comics!

Agnes' behaviour in this episode seems totally out of sync with the rest of her behaviour so far. Which means that her behaviour in this episode is likely to be anomalous. Which suggests that she was pretending to be more powerless and confused than she actually is. Why? Because she (and whoever else she is working with/for) has noticed Vision's suspicion and wants to direct it back onto Wanda to distract him from seeing the bigger picture.

I was totally against Evan Peters being a doppelganger because I thought it would be the Mandarin all over again. I'm now nearly convinced he is Mephisto. The self aware nature of what is actually going on and playing up to it with mischievous glee, he simply ACTED like Mephisto although, strangely, a Mephisto less "in control" and more incredibly curious as to the nature of what was going on. I'm just really hoping there is more to it. To cast Evan Peters for no other reason than to toy with the fans isn't a fun twist, it just feels like a dick move.

He was also aware of everything going on and yet still lying about his childhood, which Wanda didnt remember. He also obviously tried to get her to tell how her powers work. If he isnt Mephisto just playing Pietro (which explains a lot that happens with his character) then he is a villain neverthless and is trying to get info. Although I also believe he is 99% Mephisto now xD

To rip that away is a shitty move. Worse still I'm getting increasingly concerned that Spider-Man 3, rather than some multiverse extravaganza, will be adapting "One More Day" instead so he gets one more MCU film before reverting back to a "Sony-verse"

From all these episodes, I doubt Wanda will hurt anyone unless actually necessary. She threw Monica out of Westview but made sure she was not injured and she merely threatened Hayward after he literally fired a missile at her and her children. She could have killed them if she really wanted to. This episode she seems shocked that he doesn/t think what she is doing is wrong which means she knows her actions may seem unethical to many other people. I think she still has her conscience intact but is just too stuck in her grief to stop what she is doing.

Shangri-La is a literary reference to a fictional utopian village hidden away in the Himalayas, basically used as a modern colloquialism for a private paradise. (Fun possible Easter eggs a cursory search turns up: in the original work in which Shangri-La appears, The Lost Horizon, it's located in the Kunlun Mountains which is also the location of K'un-Lun in Iron Fist. There is also a Shangri-La in the 616 universe of Marvel comics, which was said to have been founded by the original Golden Age Vision, an alien named Aarkus!)

Vision, while in pain, is still thinking about the people. He is Amazingly selfless. Agnus is acting dodgy as usual, why wasn't she a mannequin like the others? and Hayward escaping the Hex was frustrating to watch. I also think they are purposely trying to retraumatise us by having us go through vision death again. We also realise that each advert now represents an infinity stone. Soul stone was the focus of the advert with the shark. There's a clear link between Monica and wanda which is their shared grief. This episode had so much to unpack. Come join us. Quick connection i wanted to point out. In the scene with Wanda and Pietro talking in front of the theater, there was two movies on the board that didn't release anywhere near each other. It was "The Incredibles" and "The Parent Trap". What these two movies *do* have in common are kids. In The Incredibles, there are two adolescents with powers. Obviously, Dash has speed and violet has forcefield abilities, reflecting Wiccan and Speed. The parent trap has 2 twins that switch places to fool their parents, (perhaps hinting at a future episode). For now thats all I got though haha. Really loved this episode!

Evan Peters is not quick silver. He's dead, which is why they showed his dead body like vision. Vision can't exist outside barrier since he's dead as we saw. This means the breach alarm that showed up as quick silver was at door wasn't bc he super speeded in and set off alarm, its because it's someone else disguised as him

Hayward comes off as the good guy though, he’s the only one concerned with the people she’s practically torturing and holding hostage. The “good guys” are ignoring this and giving Wanda way too many chances to stop being evil. She’s definitely the villain here

When Pietro mentions Shangri-La it made alot of people ( myself included) think of Iron Fist because legend says it's located in the Kun'Lun mountains. In the MCU the hidden city is simply called Kun'Lun. The only other reference about Shangri-La is in Agents of Shield. In that series Shangri-La is a secret base in relation to the T.A.H.I.T.I. project. Love your videos guys, keep up the great work. 🦹🦹‍♂️

I think Wanda pushed the borders that far because Billy said to save vision and that he was in the company of “soldiers”, so Wanda got that he was with Sword and punished them while saving Vision from his 3rd death because she thought it was Sword’s fault and they were ignoring her “only warning” from last episode

At first, the commercial confused me too but I think I figured it out. We are used to the commercials being about Wanda but this is the first episode narrated by the twins. Clearly, that is not the real Pietro he is too cruel and extremely focused on the twins and Wanda's power. I think the commercial was Billy (red shirt) and the shark is meant to be fake Pietro trying to make him activate his magic abilities. Basically, if you can't you'll die hence the name of the yogurt "Yo-Magic".

I am calling it now, Wanda has the power of all infinity stones embedded in her. Remember when she reversed time after seeing the SWORD agent coming out of the manhole? Then she even froze time. That's the power of the Time stone. She can change reality, that's the power of the reality stone. She already has the power of the mind stone that everyone knows of. They might reveal the power of the other stones she hasn't used yet. She is a walking infinity human. Somehow, when Thanos SNAPPED, it gave her all the powers after she was snapped back by Hulk since the mind stone power she was carrying possibly linked together with all other stones' powers.

One theory is that Hayward and the SWORD group were already monitoring Eastview/Westview before the snap back (blip) because of "mutants" and that Wanda discovered the problem when she "liberated" Vision's body, then went to help the town and got trapped by Agnes or Nightmare but she's becoming MORE powerful than they imagined.

HAYWARD brought the dead body of Pietro through the tunnel and Wanda subconsciously did what she did to Vision. But his body was altered to look like Pietro Fox's version.

Shangri-La is probably Shang Chi; Iron Fist is Kung-Lun; Dr Strange is trained at Karmar-Taj. Oh my God. This episode is so good! They got the 90s Malcolm in the Middle style perfect. It's great that these episodes are still perfect homages despite the shift in story focus from the first episode

Hayward wants Visions mind stone or just his vibranium Wanda probably has a split personality (Wanda/Scarlet Witch) Pietro isn’t actually Pietro. He’s a bigger entity trying to figure out the source of how Wanda started this. We know this because he knows about Visions death even though he died before that. Agnes is probably able to resist the hex more, but Wanda is still more powerful. She still has a bigger role though

My theory for the commercial is that the Shark (Mephisto/Nightmare) said that just like the kid (Wanda) went through hunger but changed that by eating Yo Magic (Wanda's magic) and gave some to power her up but she can't open it (control it, hence the people being stuck when she's not around) so she starved, but the shark is still fine cause he is consuming Yo Magic (her magic). Basically the villain juiced her up but she can't fully control it, meanwhile they are feeding upon the situation

Shangri-la is one of the bases in agents of shield. Also the reference to kick-ass was a shout-out of sorts to both actors playing quicksilver were both in the movie kick-ass! Also mutants are already here technically. Billy and Tommy were born from wanda making them the 1st people to be born with powers in the mcu! Going in and out of the bubble would probably give someone the X gene. Making them capable of making mutant children.
