The third episode picks up a lot. Yes, they're making 50s, 60s and 70s sitcom references but it's clearly showing how Wanda is trying to live this perfect life. It's all an illusion and something is really wrong. Also, there's a big bad behind all of this as well. If you know about the comic book history of the twins you'd know what I'd mean. Please watch an easter egg video because they've been throwing them to you the entire time.

The Easter eggs may be difficult if a fan’s knowledge of the Marvel Universe is derived primarily from the MCU. It helps to have a good knowledge of the stories in the Marvel comic book world. The TV shows, as I understand it, are supposed to be the bridge between the MCU and the comics themselves. TV gives more time to flesh out backstories and different character relationships. If you read Marvel comics, then you’re much more familiar with the crossover stories and broader universe. I’m excited (and hopeful) to see how this all plays out. I hope it gets more MCU fans interested in comic book stories. 😊

I think, if it’s following tv history, it’s still primarily the 60s. “Bewitched” started in ‘64, and was filmed in black & white until ‘66. My unofficial timeline/guide for the first three episodes is: “I Love Lucy (1951-1957)” “The Dick Van Dyke Show” (1961-1966) “Be Witched” (1964-1972) “The Brady Bunch” (1969-1974)

It’s partially that, but the main purpose is to be a vehicle for bringing the broader comic book universe together with the MCU. That’s why there are other shows coming like “Loki,” etc. It’s kind of brilliant. Use tv shows to tell more back story and character relationships and then use the movies for big battles and epic story telling. It brings MCU people into the comic book world.

Personally, I think the expectation for the dots to already be connected in a show that promoted that we had to connect the dots is unrealistic. The trailers indicated that we were getting a sitcom set up through the decades starting with the I love lucy/bewitched setup. It's too obvious that wanda is in a pocket universe and that there's someone behind the curtain if anyone bothered to pay attention long enough. Folks that are getting super impatient about a show they already knew was going to go this way, like the plot was supposed to be spoon fed to us or something. DId we forget that Endgame was a build up, not a wham bam thank you ma'am? This binge culture really got some of ya'll spoiled. I'm glad marvel said fuck it and is doing this their way because they know weather you like it or not, they will be good.

GOTTA agree with you, LadyJ2389. A lot of these "hyper fans" think they know what is going on but they don't. And like some nerd cult, they speculate and translate events and symbols into some wierd religion and speculate what is going on in the show. Like Mephisto and AIM (Modok has never been show in any of the MCU), its reaching. The fans were wrong about STar Wars and other franchises. Later, the fans realized that they had been ripped off and were angry with Disney and Star Wars. But I remember as recent as 4 years ago, "hyper" star wars fans were still praising Disney Star Wars and saying they knew what was happening and the story would ALL TURN OUT good. they speculated on what and why things happen, as if THEY WERE rewriting the Star Wars story...and it was just kind of sad and funny. They, like Wanda, created their own ILLUSION universe which wasn't true. There is a good chance that this series will flop and that their ideas of WANDA VISION about AIM and Mephisto could ALL BE WRONG. That would hilarious.

I'm cool with the slow burn. It's a one time series and the old school so aesthetic is meant to hide a deeper secret. Tease me a little. Let's do a little story foreplay before we get to the main story goodness. 4 1/2 out of 5 clarinets on episode 1 and 2

They’re moving through the decades lol. 50s were the first episode and 60s the second episode. Tonight is the 70s, so it’ll be in color. And you have to really really pay attention to the Easter eggs, dialogue and the advertisements. A lot of this shit is going over people’s heads lol and they’re building it slow. This show ain’t for everybody. I get it, but it’s so much deeper than a sitcom

I enjoy it for what it is. I think people have become inpatient because they are so used to the finished product and selfishly just want to get to the fun stuff but it’s all a process. People though Thor 2 and Age of Ultron was a certain way until you look back and realized they were some of the most important movies of the Marvel. We can’t act spoiled. 15 years of my trust won’t waver.

Every episode has about 30 Easter eggs / hints that does several things at the same time. Gives you a hint of things to come, gives nods to the comic book, gives tie ins to the upcoming Dr. Strange and Spider-man movies, interconnects the other Disney shows and finally, gives a nod to the era of TV shows. That's some writing for them assbuns right there.

It's so meta and soooo well done with all the DETAILS, the easter eggs, the comic references, and just the whole thing. Just brilliant! And we're just on episode 3. It's definitely getting better and better.

I'm still confused as to how people are so against something that's been promoted since the beginning. We knew they would be going through the decades with sitcoms and that the 50 and 60's would be first. Folks acting like they didn't see the trailers to know this. MCU was a build up, not crazy action from the gate. I guess since endgame, everybody just wants the action without the bulid up or connections.

I feel you on Vision's intangibly. How he was able to make the sausage intangible as well. The actual show proves that he can't really do that. If you remember at the begining of episode 1 when he was carrying Wanda into the house. He phased through the door, but she didn't.... But that's just cinema as a whole for you. Either the writer is caught up in the bigger picture and really dont care about those little pointless details, OR they truly believe their viewers are mindless screen zombies, who just watch it for the trend. I USUALLY DONT DO THIS BUT I TOTALLY DISAGREE WITH TONY..I'm Loving the old school feel and the mystery behind each episode, Tony and others are acting hella spoiled. Let's talk about how each episode (including 3) have a commercial toaster, watch, soap, all hydra related. The helicopter number 57 HUGE hint. And obviously how wands is controlling it all episode 3 being a duh moment....I was cool with the black and white and could've done It a few more episodes..all action without substance can get boring so I give this show 5/5

I'm rocking with it especially because it ties in to setching bigger. But I knew what to expect coming in. It wasn't gonna be a lot of action it's a show more about it's details than anything. And there were a lot of them

Great breakdown Tony! Because of the aestetics there were definitely thinks we all missed that allowed us to see who the villan will be moving forward in this show or dr strange. A lot of numbers adding up to 6, the fact they were drinking red wine the helicopter being red and the numbers on the helicopter being 57 (middle number again being 6) those are just a few that let us know who we're dealing with!

Agree with you 100%, Tony! The original Marvel content was my main reason to subscribe to Disney +. The 1st 2 episodes were too much of a slow build, My wife bailed on it and I'm trying to convince her to give it one more chance with me. Vision's phasing through his boss's neck made me raise an eyebrow along with the townspeople having no issue with Wanda's skimpy magician's assistant outfit.

I'm with you man. The two episodes are just a full dive to exposition and they can get away with it because it's a series. I'm patient, and marvel has all the leeway with me right now. Three episodes in, it might get interesting. I'm jumping into episode 3 right now.

I loved everything about the first two episodes. It was totally Nick at Nite and TV Land. I was in just from the intro theme song of episode 1. Love it! Plus, after seeing episode 3 today, it's time to brace yourselves.

Read about all the easter eggs that they dropped in the episodes, makes it alot better. Tony what you said about changing decades is exactly what they're doing, they're going to change decades in every episode and keep moving forward in time.

Good take, there so much to unpack, she is being watched, not sure if she is in full control. Organization sword keeps appearing on the helicopter and bee suit. That Stark toaster is unique too. I'm going to stick it out, believe in marvel tying it all in

It's a good show even with the tv land aesthetic because it's a mystery as to what's going on but knowing Wanda's story from Comics it keeps you on the edge because you know anything can happen
