I agree. Like we've had MCU world-building for the entire Infinity Saga. This entire show was completely different from anything Marvel has done before and even though it wasn't super action-based it's probably the highest quality thing they've produced so taking the time to really hone in on the characters was awesome

I'm fine with that. We still don't know how the Disney plus shows will be. Earth shattering or character building and bread crumb dropping. I'm leading more towards character building. Can't have the movies and TV shows be earth shattering every time. That wears thin eventually

I love three things about this finale: -Every resident in Westview is understandable piss off at Wanda, they didn't toss off the fact that she remove the free will of everyone -Compare when Wanda leaves westview to when she came in, she is the scarlet witch now, she can go anywhere she wants and now feeling better because she have closure -Vision defeating White Vision by just talking, is the most Vision thing ever.

@@al4red_ the problem is that they were also hurting with her, a hurt that wasn't theirs. While suffering her pain, they also were kept from their own loved ones and their true identities. She, in a pain caused by her grief and trauma, did the same to others around her (which is very common for people in grief/depression). Of course some could try and understand her. But it won't erase the mental damage she did to them, which is hard to get over.

It’s great when they take the costumes in the comics, and then adapt them so they are true to the comics, and yet “fully functional” and look like something someone could wear. This episode had a great comparison in the Halloween Wanda and the Scarlet Witch. I saw one reaction video saying of the headdress in Halloween episode “Oh no, that would never work, that looks awful” and yet They took it and made it distinctive, iconic, and really cool for Scarlet Witch.

Shows like MF, The Office, and Parks & Rec that used the pseudo documentary premise never show the interviewer. It leads me to believe in the movies, likely Dr Strange: Multiverse of Madness, we might see that aspect of Vision merge (why not with chaos magic?) with the physical/logical aspect of Vision making him whole again and truly reborn as the Vision that fell in love with Wanda. But who knows? Only those in control of the MCU storylines...

The safest guess to make is Vision's memories end with Thanos killing him in Wakanda. It's fair to say, Vision could pop up in Black Panther 2 possibly, as he went there to understand what has happened in the last place he was in.

Thank you guys for tackling the issue of managing expectations for fandom. Our new tendency is to judge the show or film we get against the one we wanted. If you hate what we get, fine. But be fair to what we get. I'm old enough to remember when NONE of this stuff was good. lol Marvel has been giving us HQ content consistently for a decade. Let them tell us their story, because we might yet get the thing you wanted down the line. Until then, let's dig on the love they are serving up now. They just gave the world the communally fun experience of a limited run comic. Excelsior!

He gave us tidbits and tidbits and after taking a day to get over my anger of overhyping myself, I really loved this fucking episode. Ralph could definitely still be Peter from the Fox Universe they didn't specify whether he lost his powers when Monica takes the necklace, maybe he's just really confused on where tf he is. Agatha is gonna be a babysitter like the comics at some point. Wanda is full on Scarlet Witch and is reviewing the Darkhold. She is still going to be the reason for MoM, like Agatha said, "It's your destiny." Monica is going to meet-up with Fury/Talos maybe creating a cosmic team, it's definitely gonna connect to Secret Invasion and Captain Marvel 2... WE ARE JUST GETTING STARTED GUYS

Since it's the multiverse you can be one character in one dimension, and another character in another, dead in another, and a regular person in another... But we'll see what they do eventually. I hope they go nuts. They used to be afraid to do that, that the average audience wouldn't understand, but over the decade they've helped even the average joe understand the comic universe with their movies and I don't think it's a stretch to start doing that now.

@@richierich7229 That crossed my mind. It's a bit of a reach, but, when Jimmy was talking about his Guy, he mentioned his family and assosiates didn't remember him or something. Although Jimmy seemed to be less affected by the hex at the time, it is possible his perception was "altered". WP would also explain why the individual wasn't identified. Something about the chuckle at the sound of his name, seemed like it was implying, this was a name picked as a joke. One of the reasons I generally don't like magic in comics, unless it's specifically fantasy, is that it can be used to explain anything. It's been done well so far I have to say, time will tell.

Expectations do need to be managed. In episode 1 Mrs Hart says “let them tell their story” and the fans didn’t when their story wasn’t ours. - I have no problem with the pietro thing, I kinda love it that marvel trolled the fans. -I wish we found out who the engineer was and woo’s witness was. Other than that I love that it was self contained and didn’t go crazy into all the theories. Sometimes Easter eggs are just Easter eggs and don’t have a larger meaning or story attached

And I also loved that they trolled us with Pietro lol. They relocate them, givie them a new name and background history. If I remember correctly, I think it has been stated that the reason they used the X-men Quicksilver was because they needed someone who wasn't the original Pietro to show that he hadn't been brought back to life, but also had to be someone that the fans would instantly realize "hey, it's quicksilver". And luckily they could do it since there was another version from a different movie series

Loved the reaction! Elizabeth Olsen never said that there was a Luke level cameo, she said there was a casting that she was excited about. The coverage turned that into, somehow, a Luke level cameo happened. I really think its a case of fans and media expecting more than the show ever wanted to deliver. This show was about Wanda and her grief. I agree that the Pietro thing was frustrating but its also a little unfair for the fandom to expect more than the show was ever actually going to do.

This reaction was the best of excitement and tears. Also, the side comments made me laugh for a solid minute. Loved the soul vs. mind interaction of vision's counterparts. Loved the goodbye between Wanda and Vision. Glad to see the theory of the Darkhold was correct and I was surprised to see that the Sorcerer Supreme was named dropped.

You guys have my favorite react channel, I think. Like a lot of others, I think, I stumbled on you when the algorithm started suggesting Ahsoka reaction videos, and (especially as this was right around a lonely holiday season) I got kind of sucked into watching people get excited over things I was excited about! But I've only subscribed to handful and I always really enjoy your banter and camaraderie and how emotionally invested you are. Anyway I am completely with you on this episode and expectations - I was talking about this with my husband and how the timing was not what they expected. This wasn't supposed to be the first new Marvel content, not to mention coming right off of the Luke Skywalker reveal (which I'm still all tingly over - and yes, I completely hear what you are saying about why that was so important). What I love about this show, actually, is how it is ultimately Wanda's story and even though I really enjoyed all the speculation and theorizing and stuff, not everything has to be jam packed with cameos or twists or shocking reveals that one-up each other constantly (especially since viewers are now getting better at predicting them). As Wanda said, "it's not that kind of show." I do also feel that the Evan Peters casting felt a bit misleading or like a payoff that didn't come, BUT, I still loved seeing him, and who knows - he could the missing witness or something else. I imagine they are still building up the story they will be telling in the movies. The only thing I'm really disappointed with from a story perspective is that I was hoping we'd see Wanda take a little more accountability for her actions instead of a quick sorry to Monica. Even if the citizens wouldn't forgive her, at least having her acknowledge it or maybe even jazz up their city center as a gesture of good will. I feel the protagonist-centered morality was laid on a little too thick at times.
