The speed Wander flies through construction layouts makes me feel so old, lol.

Zooming out all the way in this game has the same feeling of looking underwater and seeing only endless sea below you.

One of the things I noticed building is that if you don't split supply evenly you get some of those odd bottlenecks. 1 into 2, 2 into 4 gives every machine 1/4 supply. If you run one line across 4 inputs, you get 1/2, 1/4, 1/8, and 1/8 for supply rates. If the machine isn't saturated, it can cause issues later.

i dont think that really matters for anything other than startup, which is insignificant in this game as resources are infinite. it only splits if there is room on the belt. it will try and give 1/2, but the machine will only accept 1/8, and thus only 1/8 will go to the first input past the short time it takes to fill

that headache induced exchanger usage you have shown in the video inspired me to try to use it like that too. it has simplified my design, yet also made them a bit wider. mostly because i now no longer use the stacker for everything. so in other words my designs for one while belt throughput are now 8 wide instead for 6 but are at least 2 steps shorter to get to the end product. a trade off i am willing to make! 👍 good thing i already unlocked the 2x2 platforms, or i would constantly run out of space.

43:58 I actually think that's a good habit to have, I don't do that and I end up building way worse spaghetti.
