My initial reaction to the bent stackers was the same as yours. But they do have one advantage. They're faster. When everything is at the same upgrade level, they fit perfectly in a production line with swappers and cutters (the ones that output both halves), where standard stackers are just a bit slower.

I wonder if there is merit to not worrying so much about esthetic this early or maximizing output and just getting the early tasks done as quick as possible. Then as the tasks require larger and more complex orientations kinda start anew with more upgrades

Yes there is definitely merit in that as you unlock all the tech your designs change over and over and over. You won't build your final designs until you get 3 floors unlocked

at the point you had to make full squares, I was hoping your desire to have only full space belts would have you look again at the quarter square blues. You’re throwing away half and could have used cutters rather than destroyers to keep those - more manipulation but would have given you four belts

you’ve not unlocked the cutter or swapper. Argh! Half the fun of these streams is stealing good ideas and adapting for yourself, while also going ‘no do that’ :)

Could the original 2 blue quarter squares on opposite corners shape not have been rotated 90 and then stacked to make full square
