The Meta progression where you slot in Genes is different from what you seem to think at the end of the video. The Genes you kept "upgrading" at the Robot/Healer/Nurse were in fact copies of that specific Gene, that you bought to be able to slot them into the character, not an upgrade. The upgrading of all copies of a Gene is done on the bottom left machine in the medical area. Mutating after you accumulated enough kills is there to allow you to slot in more stats/Genes.

Special drop pods are unlocked via repair drop pod locations. I dont know if you've found any yet but that is where banishes/rerolls are located. You upgrade them in the room above the dealer.

It does have rerolls and banish. Sadly, it is locked behind pods you need to build.

2:50 - There is a Banish feature in the game that you unlock later with custom Airdrops. The one that provides it is called "Blackout Pod". The more you upgrade that Pod, the more upgrades you can banish ❤

The confusion balls are too OP lol, you get a couple of enemies firing those and it’s pretty much game over. I’ve found that the shield upgrade negates the confusion if they hit you while shielded.

You should put the Sargent charm on your drone so you get a massive damage boost.(It says that your partner is given the damage increase that you get from the Chevron charm)

I think the “2500 enemies in a single critical hit” was for one-shotting 2500 enemies with crits but the wording is weird Edit: got explained 3 minutes after I commented!

Helix Barrel increases the bullet lifetime. I got a promising run with that before containment field with 4x bullet count.

How does penetrating missiles work? Do they explode on every enemy or only at the last one? What if you've splitting penetrating missiles ?

Besides the overall difficulty (which, I know, “git gud!1 lawl!”) there’s only one issue I have with the game and I think it’s a bug or something. Basically, I found some genes and unlocked the genetics lab. It’s basically the place where the snowball begins for starting off the rounds with better-than-vanilla stats. One of the Gene’s I got was for health regen, and I immediately upgraded it a few times, so I should be starting every round with roughly 0.03 per second, or something like that (It’s very strange that they have the genes be upgradable in two stations. I just don’t get it.) Thing is, the next round I started, the option came for that upgrade to give you health regen and I went, “Ah, sweet, I can always use more of that-why does my health regen on the stat screen STILL read 0.000? Shouldn’t I have started off with some already?” At that point I think that maybe what I got just improves the health regen boost I get in the upgrade during a run. But nope. So, either they decided to hide that improved health regen for some reason, or it doesn’t work and I’m disappointed. two things that don’t involve me whining though, lol. I’ve found that the turrets are WAY better when put on a gun that’s going to be designated as “for the drone” or turning the “autofire underbarrel ON” whenever I’m using them, because they refresh PER LEVEL, rather than on a timer or kill count, and I ALWAY forget to deploy them. So, making them deploy automatically means I’ll at least get use out of them rather than waste my charges. Follow-up, the builds I use that are FAIRLY regularly able to carry me to the end of various runs are the AK, Hellspitter barrel, splitting bullets magazine, bayonet, and the keychain that ups your damage based on k-ll count. (as long as you get that chain EARLY, because I don’t think it counts your k-lls “retroactively”.) Take every “basic” reload upgrade whenever it *(RARELY)* pops up as an option get your crit rate to 100% and then apply crit-boosts, and you can turn Autofire and Autoaim on and just call it an enthusiastic walk if you want to, lol.

Without saying too much so not to spoil but different guns work better in different zones and what you intend to do on the run. I will say though, make yourself a Go Fast build and get out there to explore :P

hey wander just a heads up\ suggestion you can turn off the ting ting ting sound from picking up xp all the time,just a lot harder to enjoy the run with a digital version of rain hitting a metal drain by my ear going the entire time, but some people I've seen play it without that sound,just wanted to throw it out there.

I think you need to approach the swarm gun with a different strategy. High fire rate is a waste of the AoE. Reload speed, bullet count, penetrations, and effect size are most effective. Also, regen isn’t as important if you can delete everything first. It would be fun to see the shrapnel effect on homing missiles. I wonder if it works that way.

I think part of the game is sometimes making the best out of a bad selection, however I do agree with the first couple of drops offering say like 5-6 options (yes those two opinions might clash but, it just means it prevents a totally crap/unfun run).

does the first boss not always spawn i have had quite a few runs where 4 mins goes by and theres no spiltserpent to be seen bertha always spawns around 8 mins or so just find it weird that ive had runs and i dont get a chance for the first mini boss upgrade

the fact that half of this video is just "I got Melted by Unending Enemies" because wander just wants to make niche builds happen instead of adjusting to what's being provided makes a rough watch. not helped all that much by how this game has such chill music

for me, this game needs A LOT of balance, too many bad components, its very difficult right off the rip, the number of times ive died trying to get my level up is infuriating, just level me up. if you're going to hide meta progress behind the first win it should be..less punishing. idk if i really like it in its current form.
