When did I start travelling?
I began to travel properly a few months after I graduated university in 2012. I booked a one way ticket to Australia and the fun began from there!
How do I fund my travels?
I normally apply for a work/travel visa in the country I am spending the majority of my time, I will then work for several months in a row, save up money and then disappear for a few months when I have the cash! I am also blessed enough to have made some really good friends on a lot of my previous travels, this normally means I have a place to crash!
What did I do before I began travelling?
Before I started travelling I gained a BSc in Forensics and Crime Scene Investigation, I intended to use my degree to get into Law school and become a Lawyer! That was all until I discovered road trips and wanderlust!
Do I have any previous experience in Film or Photography?
No! Everything I know I learned on the go! It really is the best way! Hands on knowledge in filming and editing really cannot be beaten.
How do I start travelling?
Just pack up and go! It really is the only way! If you keep telling yourself you're waiting for the perfect moment to travel, 10 years will pass and you'll realise you never did, adventure really doesn't wait!

I went to Nicaragua last summer. It's beautiful, the people are friendly, and it's cheap. San Juan del Sur is full of hostels, good food, cheap rum, and friendly people.

i am not surprised south africa is on this list. i was there for a month on a study abroad trip this past summer. BEST DECISION OF MY LIFE! it is SUPER AFFORDABLE. eating out at four star restaurants on a "student budget" was something i can't do here in the states, but managed to do that often in cape town. for the partyers, lets put it this way: i bought a round of 8 shots for $15... i pay between $7-$10 for ONE shot here in the states..... plus the rand fell so hard when we went that we were able to book a safari. also helps on WHEN you go. summers here in the northern hemisphere (winter in the southern) are the best and cheapest to go to south africa, ESPECIALLY to go on a safari.

I never thought I'd find myself in Africa in general. But SA is generally safe, so that should not be an issue at all. and the CULTURE and FOOD has no price! and the locals are generally friendly as well. hope you can make it out there soon!

As a South African, I would like to advise EVERYONE on a quick tip when visiting SA. Try to avoid the top spots if you are going to Cape Town, stay just 2 blocks a way for half price. If you want to go on safaries, try the private game reserves and avoid the Kruger National Park. The Kruger Park is MASSIVE and you might be disappointed or take longer to see all the animals. HOWEVER most importantly, when you are here and go to a restaurant, ask for the local menu or else the bring you a menu which is almost double the price of the local menu and its the same dish or drink. I promise! Lastly, always try to bargain the street shops down, start at 40% of the asking price and work your way to middle ground.

When you go to Montenegro beside Boka Kotorska Bay, and Black lake, don't miss on Lovcen, Rijeka Crnojevica, Biogradska gora, river Tara rafting, and river Moraca kanyon. For all the nature lovers, Montenegro is place to go!

I just came back from MEXICO! I went to Puerto Vallarta though. Next time I go, I would like to go somewhere a little less tourism-centered, but I still had a wonderful experience! Soooo cheap. I had my housing taken care of by the school I went for, but one of my classmates did an Airbnb and only paid $500 for the whole month of April (and the house was beautiful). So basically what I'm saying issss.... Mexico is definitely the move lol

Albania was cheap when i went in 2015 . Balkans are great . Croatia on the coast is indeed dear esp in august . Serbia and Bosnia are brill too Went to Russia last year and prices were reasonable

I went to Russia a few years ago and while the prices weren't bad, but I was driving out and the countryside and got pulled over by a corrupt police officer who took my passport and wouldn't give it back until I gave them $1500 😬

Ohh thats not good huh. Yeah I guess that can be a problem anywhere you go. A good tip is to take a photocopy of your passport with you (or a few) and hide your actual passport. And only ever give over your photocopy! That way, if they want to keep it, they have no leverage! (Maybe I should do a video on these tips... 🤔)

Travel to India. It has a lot to offer from high Himalya mountains to desert in Rajasthan, sandy beaches to lakes. So much diversity in culture, so much cheap to travel, and yes delicious food.

I've been to Bolivia and it was amazing!! So cheap and so many beautiful places!!! Would definitely recommend sucre, the salt flats and lake titicaca. I also did a trek in the cordillera real mountain range which is part of the Andes and it was AMAZING would recommend to everyone

I agree on your list. I loved South Africa so much! You definitely should add Sri Lanka (breathtaking beaches, cheap food, dorms ~10 USD) and India (I stayed in Goa last year by the end of rainy season, for just 10 USD a day including accomodation, water and food - yes, 10 per day no kidding!!!). I'm off to Romania soon and Morocco was cheap when I went from the UK this January. (although not as cheap as 2014) you can get £40 flights from the UK and stay in hotels for about £12 a night and food for about £10 so worth doing and Essaouira is like the French Riviera only with more cous cous and tajines!

If you live on Croatian salary it is expensive, but if you come here as a tourist, I wouldn't call it expensive. I've done a lot of traveling and Croatia is not as nearly expensive as other European countries. And it depends on where and when you are traveling... :D
