Loved your companion today -- she seemed so worldly, classy and zen. Nice to see the neighborhood with you both. Thanks.

Hey Jay - really like your video style, first time visitor here. I lived in the Paris area for a year to study Architecture. The church you visited was one I missed, although I had probably walked past it at one time in my self tours of the city. While you guys were looking inside I too was studying the structure and smiled when Girl Meets Glass started to consider the construction and associated it with medieval construction techniques. She may know her wine, but the construction is much more modern. I looked it up and it is described as, a pretty 19th century church located in La Villette near the Sécrétan district. Built from 1873 in memory of Monsignor Georges Darboy Archbishop of Paris, who was killed on May 24, 1871. So, less than 150 years old and built with "modern" equipment and methods. It was great that you guys had such fun walking around the 19th and I will have to check out more of your trips around town as it will be very nostalgic for me. I did like how Girl Meets Glass liked the ceiling of the church, sort of Girl Meets Glass Ceiling! It also took me till almost the end of the video to realize you were limiting yourselves to the Combat neighborhood and not the 19th district. I must have misunderstood your delimiting at the start. I was almost telling the screen, "you can cross the street, its still in the 19th!".... Oh, it is outside Combat. OK, got it.

Really enjoying your walks round the 19th which I'm progressively discovering myself. Ave Secrétan/Simon Bolivar very much the smarter end of the 19th. Buttes Chaumont was a lifesaver for me during lockdown- it was too grey the day you were there but on a fine day you can see open countryside on the horizon which always lifts my spirits. The zigzaggy buildings Tanisha admired which you zoomed in on were designed to look like church organ pipes (they are called Les Orgues de Flandre after the street they're on). You also walked past a great cocktail bar on Rue de Belleville called Combat. Highly recommended.

Great to have another installment of the 80 in 8ish😊. You mentioned in this video that you regret that you might miss things in your 80 in 8 outings because you don’t always look up everything ahead of your wander but it means you will still have new things to see and discover in future wanders! Thanks for posting! Stay well and safe!

Enjoyed this video. Stayed in the 19arr just before France was taken off the UKs’ travel list. Sorry I missed that space invader around the park. Waiting patiently to go back to Paris.

My old home was just a few steps away from the marché at Av Sécrétan and rue de Meaux. It’s super trippy to see this. I actually waited a few days before looking because I knew it would bring up a lot of bittersweetness. It does. ❤️
