Good one, but M2M has never been my choice at all.... I usually travel once in a month from Hyderabad to Revdanda..... so far, almost 1,000 trips ferry trips for me, from Mumbai to Mandva. :). My favourite ferry service provider is Maldar. Not so humongous expensive. The other providers are PNP( A.C.). The third one is Ajanta, and it takes a longer time than PNP and Maldar. Maldar have recently started the A.C. coach too, but it is never worth to go with A.C. coaches if you are on the sea. :). Never go with M2M next time. Secondly, the road from Panvel to Pen is now well developed. I'd recommend to travel that way as well. The other route from Murbad is under construction. :).

There is no comparison. You cannot take your car on maldar or pnp. Cost saving is pointless

I agree, Amol. Once a while RO-RO journey is ok just for the experience. But I always travel by road, and nowadays with the Atal Setu, travel time between Dadar and Alibag has come down to just about 2 hours, same as RORO

Now minimum ticket is 360 , for top 450. Then car 1000,1200. If you don't have car then from mandwa to Alibag 200 per seat for Alibag. Total minimum 560 and above pp.. if you stay in sobo it's worth otherwise not. 1000 RS fuel required for Dadar to Alibag.

People who don't have owned car, they can go via gate way of india where ferry are available at cheep price .. also traveling time is less ... And they also have ac cabins. For south mumbai travel time will be approx 2 hr
