Literally the least informed video. Wet season is April to November not the other way around. Your point about it 'not being that hot' in April is invalid as the Maldives is a nation that spans the equator, which means that the temperature year round is pretty steady, usually 28-32 celsius and never straying too far from that.

Hey , enjoyed the vid , one thing tho , when you mentioned the electricity supply to the room you opened the door and pointed to a "generator connected to a gas/propane tank" , it was actually a water pump and a filter for the pool, I'm not saying there wasn't a generator there somewhere's but it wasn't what you pointed too , might have been in the cage next to the water pump , Apart from that small technicality Kudos , good vid , Cheers

Those water Villas are BEAUTIFUL BUT erecting them did SOOO much destruction to the coral reef that was most likely 100's of years old. VERY expensive price to pay for luxury.... Literally death of living coral reef 😢😥😓 This would explain the lack of Sea life in the glass floors in those Villas
@WanderingTrader2 жыл бұрын
You don't even know if there was even a coral Reef there where it was built. Or if they actually helped the coral Reef in the area either. Pretty ignorant on ur part
@gheangel_quinn2 жыл бұрын
@@WanderingTraderseeing from above the coral reef which surrounds those Villas (where the Villas have not been erected) I would imagine I'm pretty safe to say there was. Honestly, in order to find out for certain, all it would take is questioning a local. Also, I'm quite privy on Marine Biology, which entails Coral Reefs and the way it is reproduced. This would account for coral reefs which surround islands. There simply isn't just barren "sections", unless,. those sections were destroyed! If you look above closely, you can also see the shadowing beneath the sand used to cover up where coral reef once was. I imagine it wouldn't be very hard to prove everything I'm saying, via conducting test from samples. I imagine this would explain exactly why guests are NOT ALLOWED to take ANY form of Sea life with them from their stay.

All I said was this was the crappiest guide ever so either stick to your day job or go get lessons on how to as you have wasted my time watching.

James Tan .... ummmm. I was replying to Marcelo. Who responded back to you. What I wrote CLEARLY had nothing to do with what you said and was agreeing with you. You started out appearing like you knew something and then ruined it with this comment. he said the best time to go is April. Nope. December, January, and February. He called a pool pump a generator. He didn’t share any actual information or travel tips besides (if you’re a backpacker then you can’t afford this). Cmon man. I was on your side.

Thank you for awesome and informative video ! A Professional video ! A big big love for the creative video thumbnail ! Maldives is a country of beautiful islands. The airport is on an island and main city (Male) is on another island. There are regular ferry service between airport island and main island. The hotel (Somerset Inn), we stayed, was very good in hospitality. It is very easy to change US dollars in the country, it is slightly not easy to change other currencies. Banks at airport at departure will only change the remaining Rufiyaa (which was exchanged during arrival). Streets in main city are very narrow. Bikes are mostly parked on the streets. The taxi can be hired for local transportation. To go to other islands, ferry service (which are relatively cheaper than private speed boats) can be used. Male island is highly populated but other islands do not have much of population. There are private island and private resorts as well.

Do you know anything about the Maldives? April to November is the dry season? No its bloody not. Its the wet season and perhaps the cheapest time to visit but the weather is a gamble. The temps are still good and the water is still nice and warm. The dry season is November to April. The prices go through the roof during this period. Been there enough times to know that the rainy and windy summer monsoon in Maldives, named "Halhangu" in Dhivehi ( Maldivian language ), often starts around late April/May and reaches its peak around July / August. I doubt any local would tell you that April to November is the dry season. The monsoon rains arrive EVERY year in late April/Early May.
