Great work guys! As an FYI I saw another pro in the teardrop space urge you to enhance Rvalue insulation by adding a [1] inch baseboard foam install-makes a huge diff b/c steel trailer inducts? Heat transfer. I just saw you did use some insulation on baseboard-only question was whether you considered the 1 inch (ie more) or replacing wood joists (which are R2) with a truss like joist with foam or the type used to replace dry wall-between for better Rvalue/ less conduction.

Nice video, as always, but I just don't know about screwing into the end-grain of the roof cross members. As a furniture maker that just feels cheap and nasty to me. I know most teardrop makers do it, but isn't there a better way?

Possibly. It’s never cause any issues which is probably why many of us do it. Would you have any suggestions?

@@WanderTears In a framed design there would be a piece of wood directly below the ends of the cross-members. You would then fasten down into that. This is how I'll be building mine starting in a couple of months. Alternatively, a strip of ply the width of the cross-member fixed to the outer ply, with notches cut for a half-lap joint at each junction with a cross-member. This would locate and support the roof member, so that a screw into the end grain wasn't supporting any roof loading.

Some constructive criticism.... I would never use that type of electrical connector, connecting wires the way that you did. Prone for failure. A solder wire connection should be a must in an enclosed wall, sealed with shrink tube.

I have job envy. Does it even seem like you’re at work…? I’m sure there’s less enjoyable days but I’m guessing they’re few.
