So what we are getting to understand is that the SGR from Coast to Kanairo was done at 6 times the amount Wanjigi would have done the entire thing from Coast To Kenya-Uganda border. Plus we normally have two budgets, one presented to the public, and one that is used for siphoning money in the back seat. Kenya needs serious redemption. Debt is not necessarily a bad thing. Money when borrowed can improve infrastructure and spur development. But it has to be planned and the potential for growth assessed. For example in a country like Myanmar with barely any industries, borrowing money to build wide roads is a foolish thing to do, but countries like Nigeria, India, Mexico can benefit from better infrastructure. Hard to say if Kenya belongs to the first or second set of countries.
