Great testimony. I dealt with this from an old best friend from middle school. I was trying to help him as he was losing his relationship with his BM. And when I tried to offer him solutions he just flipped them into problems. Making the solution an impossible outcome. At the end of the effort I let him go. And realized I don't want that guy near my family if he's capable of dragging relationships into the dirt to that degree then playing helpless. They wild af out there. Yall be safe. And even the people you thought you knew might be a stranger (in their heart towards you). They're very sneaky and manipulative. They spare no one. It's them against the world deep inside.

The hardest part was accepting she was a narc ….but once i accepted it i can’t unsee it, i blocked her on everything and i don’t see any way i would ever want to see or talk to her again, she was a HORRIBLE person from day 1 ….i honestly can’t believe i let her slide for so long, how did i not see all these glaring red flags ? But now im thankful for the lesson i learned and i now know how to spot them from a mile away.

Some things are probably the same and other things a little different. But I’m glad you opened your eyes and got out of that! Our inner voice will always tell us if something is off.

@@arielallmond4959 some of the obviously red flags were…. She was a horrible person, jealous of everybody including of her own friends…. She refused to speak highly of any of her friends, she was a serial cheater, she was jealous of me the entire time even tho everything i accomplished was for the both of us to benefit she just didn’t like seeing me have anything good ….narcs are very smart, they know when to love bomb and when to show their true colors and keep u hooked, but regardless she had a million red flags i have to hold myself accountable for not seeing them and the worse part is, when she hoovered me i genuinely wanted to see if she was ok but she once again proved she was a horrible person and idk how she slipped through the cracks because i usually don’t even let anyone get that close to me anyway and I’ve dated much better looking women and better quality. Narcs are very very cunning but im thankful for the lesson and knowing that a narc will never be happy no matter who their new supply is, will be punishment enough for them, they’re stuck in a never ending cycle of self destruction.

But that might have been what the narc wanted..to mess up my future relationships, so I try to keep an open heart and mind. But trusting my intuition this time around. Yes I look at family members differently now, you never know how people actually are with their spouses and behind closed doors. I see the games some family members play in a whole new light. And no I have 2 half sisters but no brothers. One of my uncles is most likely a narc after the information I’ve learned but I don’t know for sure. He just has some narcissistic traits or he is one. Yes I'm almost 10 years out of that relationship with a narc, didnt know about narcs back then, yep he wasn't my type at all but he got me trauma bonded. I was like you. I was never really in love with the last guy I dated. He was exactly how you described. The sun rose for him and set for him. He would constantly gas light me and play around with my emotions like I didn’t clearly see what he was doing. I knew the whole time so when he dumped me I just went on like it was nothing. It irritated him, I have to admit I thought it was kind of funny. I mean I wasn’t seeking revenge or anything cause I’m not like that but to see someone act the way he did it was hard not to laugh.

@@GGNEAL Thanks for the concern but I’m definitely an empath for sure! That’s what kept me running back to be tortured for 4 years. I built him up from having low income and hating his job to $70k a year and loving his job. He lived with his parents when I met him & was in a $2,100 a month apt by the time he was done sucking my energy dry. When he discarded me for the new supply which he thought would crush me I was at my lowest financially and my health was at an all time low, I thought I was going to die. I had given him everything and there he was off with a woman who had way more than me. I’m so happy and confident to show that monster that after all the turmoil & although they almost took me out I’m still standing, confident and happy, b/c we all know these narcs definitely watch us survivors after they Try to destroy us. I struggled with wondering if I’m a narc myself, but I’m not as strategic as they are. I’m what’s known as a “super empath” I believe we’re empathetic but believe in getting even. A bit of a Malcolm X of narc survivors, if you will. This comment itself is a bit insecure, confidence doesn’t make you a destructive demon trust me. This comment itself actually seems like something a narcissist would possibly say? I’m healing and happy, not a narc and idk if you’re one, but yes that’s true super Empaths DO match energy lol. That’s why we scare narcissists they hate us lol. Their mission is to destroy.

We are here to support one another not bring each other down.
