Great video. I’m sure there are many who are not already self-employed, who could find this helpful...whether they are moving to Portugal or not.

I am Portuguese national but have lived in the UK since I was 8. Husband and I want to move our family to Lisbon in couple of years. I have worked in customer service/healthcare for 18 years but feel so lost. Would love to find remote work so I can take that to Portugal when we move. Husband is a psychotherapist hoping to have online clients set up when we make the move. I speak fluent Portuguese and English. Any advice would be appreciated from you both

I think the best is try to change job now.. apply for any remote job you can find while you still have the U.K. job market on your hand. Then relocate when you know if works. :) Good luck 😉

Thank you very very much for this fabulously informative video, most appreciated. On another note, hubby would look great 👍 in a new shirt 👔 and in a different colour 😊 😬... as he is naturally relatively pale, a navy blue with a small pattern or uni colour or maroon or a darker Khaki would make him appear more dashing 😉. Best wishes to you both. I am looking forward to your next vlog. 💖

Hi, can you make video on the taxes for remote workers!!)
@HyggeJourney3 жыл бұрын
Hi Maksimas We are not going to cover taxes as you need a tax advisor for that. That’s super complex in all countries :) However... see if you qualify for NHR and potentially can get a tax reduction to just 20% If so you would probably need to register as self employed and then invoice the company that you work remote for.

The hours can be difficult 8 hours a day, with low salarys in Portugal.. Different times, and weekends sometimes evenings..depending on the job.. Do you think this weighs out the quality of life there..?
@HyggeJourney3 жыл бұрын
Hi R G, I think your question really is down to a personal opinion. Where I am from (Denmark), the weather is so bad that people spend most time at home. And when they work, it's a high paid job but taxes are between 60-80% depending on situation. Therefore, many suffers under depression and suicide rate is high. I think what I appreciate about Portugal is that people of all salaries, can still manage to go out. Enjoy life a bit. And I really admire this. No doubt, some jobs are hard. Personally we work a lot, but it's a personal choice really :-)

@@HyggeJourney Yes that's what I was thinking I had my final interview yesterday and I am approved for the job. Although it's alot of hours and the salary is basic.The quality of life is better sunshine most of the year, friendly people lots of outdoor activities with music everywhere.. Rents are high in Lisbon but there are affordable places if you look in the right places.. I have 2 more interviews this week for Portugal.. So I will accept the job that suits me best.. Its a great life experience. Wow! I didn't know that about Denmark.. such high taxes! CRAZY!Yeah! bad weather gets you down for sure! . Where I live people stay in for most of the year too watching TV.. So unhealthy.. I love the outdoor lifestyle.. I found these jobs online so that I could live in the sun.. I just hope the hours aren't too long and I can finish early to do lots of activities. Theres 2 days off a week. So thats pretty good.👍☀️🌟 Thank for the informative videos!!🙏❣

Well the important is that you do what makes you happy. Also doing KZbin is a lot of work and we haven’t yet made any money for it. At all. But it’s fun, it gives us energy. So evaluate your offers and see what gives you most. Consider living outside of Lisbon maybe

Okay! I'll give it another try! I wanted to ask by any chance if someone out there offers remote work but not in the fields of IT/Marketing/Sales/Bitcoin/Cryptocurrency. I want to move to Portugal ASAP but I want a remote job. I saw the pages in the description but still, I decided to write this post.

Hi there, Thanks for reposting the question - we certainly haven't seen this! Could you please give me some examples on what you have worked with before + any hobbies and interest. That will help us to give you some ideas on how you could approach this :-)

@@HyggeJourney Bartender, waiter, teacher(2 years as a part of my curriculum) and 6 months internship as a programmer. My hobbies are playing guitar and fitness. As for the interests - literature, music, history, travel, nature, art...and I think that this is it. As for the job I am just looking for something remote. I don't have anything in particular. Moving to Portugal(Lisbon) has been a dream of mine and I want to finally achieve it.
