Great video, thanks for sharing! I bought a tub of something similar - 'Toupret Magic Finishing Kit' ready mixed fine finish. It comes with a small roller and a squeegee scraper. This plaster kit works in the same way, be it on a smaller scale. I used it in my own house and it works well!

We do this a lot in the 'States using redi-mixed joint filler. It seems to go on about the same way and requires a little sanding. It's good if you have a moderately messed-up wall, and don't want to get into traditional plastering.

Do you have plasterers in the US? From how it appears online it seems to be a totally different culture where you guys have drywallers rather than plasterers and it seems to me those guys just use plasterboard adhesive/mud or something similar kind of like UK plasterers would use plaster? Have I got the right idea?

My dad told me to check your video out as I have a hallway and landing that needs a little attention. Its got a really poor latex paint finish on which I tried to sand off but it just gums up the pads, the alternative seems to be heat gun which is a lot of work. Do you reckon I can use this to go over the current paint to smooth it off (it isnt flaking anywhere) without having to remove it all and then paint straight on top of this? really trying to save some time and money here and this does look great, just seems it needs to go onto the wall directly and not onto a painted surface. (excellent video btw).

Why did you not take the radiator brackets off the wall? Also, it would not only have made it easier if you had taken the TRV head off and replaced it with a decorator's cap, but, speaking from experience, you should never rely on a TRV head to stay closed. He did skim it. If you are refering to traditional plaster, no way it's faster. Mixing up dust and dirt, carrying bags and buckets and water ... and how long before you can paint 😊? This you paint next day, no sanding dust since you would be sanding with dust extractor. Actually easy sanding is what makes it attractive to decorators, they don't have to worry and lose time on perfect troweling. However, traditional plaster is more durable. This isn't a plastering product, smoothing a wall after wall paper removal, just another prep step before paint that is all.

lol, I think I'd of then waited 4 days for it to be dry enough to wash coat, re fill where you've missed areas, sanded and re wash coated before getting my emulsion on. lol
