Loved this. I spent years and years and years with guys orbiting me and chasing me and when I get feelings they ghost me but then when I move on and forget about them...they come back. They liked the attention I gave them because I never had boundaries. Now I'm healing after too many times of doing this. It broke me so bad. This whole time I truly thought they really had feelings for me and this is why I struggle with dating now and not knowing what's normal and not. All this "attention" they gave me was for THEIR own good, not mine.

I did everything to get him back to the point I was drained. The humiliating part was when I found out he was focusing his attention on other things and women. Now I realized he wasn't meant for me and I stopped chasing him like I just don't see him the same. Life has been great so far and my relationship with God is progressing!

When I was growing up the female children were groomed to be wives and homemakers, while the male children were encouraged to be needy narcissistic whores. Thanks, for your report, Stephen. For me, the shortcut here is that women choose men, where men, select women. A man asks a woman to dance; she either accepts or denies the offer, case closed. There's no chase or pursuit, a simple "no, thanks" usually will suffice. My Initial pursuit of a woman, allows her to size me up as a dating prospect and more. The bottom line lies with women being pursued; as for the reverse, a woman, like most men, has to read the body language and actions of the gent, in question and then decide if he's worth his salt; just like a man would do. I subscribe to the "nothing ventured, nothing gained" scenario. If, after a short duration, one doesn't see a return for one's investment, they have the option to cancel, pull out or hit-the-road. I, can't recall anyone having to remain, stay or endure the lack of mutual appreciation, if there is none. Still, there's no chase!! Red flags are in place to assist folks, in determining whether or not, the opposite person, is live of memorex. A person's sixth sense, is the voice in one's head, telling you to stay or to run. B1 always!

Thank you for letting me see that I can’t stay hopeful with the man I was recently dating. He poured into me and I did too then I said something that I didn’t realize hurt him. No, what’s getting hard is that every time I watch videos on relationshipS it seems as though there will be no one good out there, and that every encounter will be just a dead end. I’m just not understanding all this psychological stuff what happened to the 30s in the 40s in the 50s they didn’t have all this counseling stuff going around flying off the Richter! Now all of a sudden we got a look for red flags or he seem like the right guy had all the qualities but wasn’t the right guy OK I’m really confused now! I feel I’ve commented on this before, but I keep listening to it over and over because it rings so true. Right man, wrong timing years ago, and we got ourselves tangled up with other people. I left that situation, he didn’t leave his, and he wanted to bounce 6 months before his wedding straight to me. I had to say no. I’m sorry, but he needed to be single and heal and figure out what got him tangled up in codependency. I had done the work and I was in a holding pattern just living my life. He never found his self worth, so now I keep thinking about him because of what? Guilt? Maybe. Lots to unpack.

Wow you spoke to me. The long story short ny ex was trying to get back with me a few years ago i wasnt ready i did everything i could to show him i wasnt intereated. But he kept pursuing. As i healed i realized i could give it another chance but this time he wasnt fully interested...we were seeing each other bout 6 months before i realized he wasnt 100% in. His job came first, he space came first everhthing and everyone came first before me. He would bring up how hurt i made him feel being rejected and that its gonna take time foe him to fully commit to me. I Told him to not hold on to what i did but look at how i am now. He couldnt do that. He always made mw feel guilty. So i ended things with him. Stephen your so right i felt guilty for rejected him years ago i lessen myself to show him how much i wanted things to work a 2nd time, ive given him money to show him i can take care of him. But still wouldnt call me his gf. So yes guilt is true and u nailed it on the head that this is probaly what driven me to come back to him. But i relalized i was just his yo yo.

When I addressed what I thought was a minor issue with him, we were on the phone, and we were discussing it, and it was a good conversation, and I was agreeing with him, then he said he had to take another call….we said good night, and that was it. He ghosted me. Which totally confuses me, because it wasn’t an argument. I felt that we had a connection, and he was calling me every day. I reached out to him, but still silence. I am not going to chase him. But I did see him looking at my social media. 🤷‍♀️
