Great tips and suggestions ….. swatching and gauge (yes, of course, why knit a sweater that doesn’t fit!); rip back when needed (lesson learned long ago and reinforced during Covid); measure and also for garments try on a few times if top down; read through pattern and highlight any important info; keep ball band info (if you have a stash of any size, this is important); sometimes take knitting with me for appointment wait times but I need to remember this tip and start small projects to keep in my bag; and absolutely we learn from mistakes! Great tips! About the swatches, also make sure to note what size, style and material of needles you used. Soooo many swatches with questions of was this a US 8 or 9??
