Thank you for your videos Adriana! I am looking into becoming a post partum doula where I live in Boston. After learning several years about about the maternal mortality rates of Black women I was deeply disturbed and have been interested in getting involved since. It’s wrong and it doesn’t have to be like this. Living in such a segregated city it’s impossible to ignore. It’s gross seeing how sweet and gentle the care directed for white women is, when black women are expected to be tough with often less resources. Hoping for a future with more holistic, emotional care regardless of income or race. Thanks for sharing.

Love this video and it pushed me to sing up for her course. I can't say I would recommend the course based on ease of accessibility or communication with educator but if you are a great self-teacher or learner and don't require the aid of a teacher to consult with about the text the course is beautiful. The information is golden and setup very well on the website.

Could you do a video about being present at a home birth vs a hospital birth? I would love to become a doula, but I've had 3 children of my own and have had extremely traumatic hospital births. I feel as if attending hospital births would be so much more stressful, and I don't know if I could bridge that gap effectively in order to be an advocate.
