I was an in house designer for awhile and tried to go freelance … the business side of it was super scary and the taxes even scarier. This will be my first year being a sole proprietor AND still holding a 9-5 … how do you even handle all of this? lol - love your videos and I’m so happy I stumbled upon your channel!

Totally, it can all feel really overwhelming! You are exactly the kind of person that made me want to make videos. I've actually been really wanting to make a vid about taxes as a sole proprietor but I've held off because it felt super niche and I didn't know if anyone would care. Thank you! I know it's pretty ubiquitous, but I personally think Squarespace is the best platform for simple sites. I've built dozens of sites on their platform (including my own portfolio) since 2008, and I just don't think there's a better platform for code-free, WYSIWYG editing, especially for portfolios. I've also been really impressed with their customer support over the years, so that's a bonus. Hope this helps!
