I've had many commenters ask about buying the Chateau de Borie and how much it cost. I also had a lot of questions about the history of the Chateau. In this video, I've attempted to answer all of your burning questions! Also, stay tuned to the end for a quick walk around the driveway to see the massive improvements! Don't worry, the new gizmo ensures that my shaky video is a thing of the past!

Hi Ssa, you are correct but there isn't enough time left to explore and do things, time is running out. End times prophecy is being fulfilled all around us, please read the Book of Revelation! The rapture and the 7 year Tribulation with the world ruler ( the Bible calls him Antichrist, 666!) are right around the corner. Once you know biblical end times prophecy and the plans of the NWO, you can easily see what is happening in the world. Please have an open mind and know that there is hope: accept JESUS CHRIST as your Lord and Savior today!!! Remember: JESUS is GOD, see John 1! Read the New Testament, listen to Dr. Ron Rhodes and Roger Liebi on the end times/Rapture/Antichrist. Blessings from AB

The State of Missouri was a primary contributor of roots to France during the blight. Herman, MO and Neosho, MO leading the way and the diplomacy and advocacy of Charles Valentine Riley (the states first entomologist ). Missouri is where the solution to the blight was developed along with the way to help France. This history is very interesting with lots of science to boot. What matters is the grafting to Missouri plants saved the French wine industry and for that we Missourians are very proud.

A power washer might do wonders for your outside gate posts and the render and brickwork on the outside of the chateau. The jet spray would clean off a lot of mold and mildew. The aqua color in the background wall on episode 4 is beautiful. I wouldn’t change a thing there. In the room with the mosaic floor, I would paint that room a color from the mosaic floor that is not green. The floor doesn’t ’pop’ with the walls being green as well. If you choose a juxtaposing color to the walls, it will make that lovely floor stand out. Possibly a cream color, or soft pink? I haven’t had a good enough look at the floor to have a good idea. You could set up the rooms in the third floor to house volunteers who could come and stay while they help you with things you can’t do yourself. See if there is a quilt maker in town and dress each room for a volunteer with a lovely handmade quilt to make up for the fact that there are not a lot of windows up there. You will see your place take shape more quickly if you had help from volunteers. Congratulations!🍾🎉

Building wealth involves developing good habits like regularly putting money away in intervals for solid investments. Financial management is a crucial topic that most tend to shy away from, and ends up haunting them in the near future. Putting our time and effort in activities and investments that will yield a profitable return in the future is what we should be aiming for. Success depends on the actions or steps you take to achieve it. "You're not going to remember those expensive shoes you bought ten years ago, but you will remember every single morning when you look at your bank account that extra 0 in there. I promise, that's going to be way more fun to look at everyday", I pray that anyone who reads this will be successful in life

Hello Abby! I began watching your channel previously when you only had one eposode. I am originally from California. I can confirm the story about the moving of the vines after the blight. Thank you for confirming what I was told. I was told that story from the time I was knee high. I am now 71. My father was born on Catalina Island before the Mexican government sold it to California. Technically, although his mothers parents came from France, she was born in Pennsylvania. Both she and my grandfather were American Citizens. He became one by his birth. I can't wait to see more! @@mamaahu There were actual bones up in Montana. The land they were found was the original settlers family, several generations later. When they dug them up they could nt believe the size. It was not an entire body, just some extremely large bones. They took them to a university to have them determine what they were. Shortly after that, their land was foreclosed upon, despite that they were not behind on payments. It was sad that over 15K acres disappeared as it did, and that so many are corrupt to hide the find. I personally knew that family. Very old ranchers, and all their families.

Facilities are CRUCIAL and difficult plus expensive, sometimes dangerous without correct knowledge. So is the ROOF, foundation and structures. Probably you don’t have earthquakes in Loire River area but still important as an asset. The video was very educational 🎉 Thank you. I also love your “soft concept” making it out a sort of artist community. I have a different idea but also want to create a place to “gather” mix cultures/professions/old & young&pets/travelers etc. I will be following and wishing you luck, hopefully visit you not so far ❤

How did I not find you before? I've been mulling over moving to France for ages but life, death and circumstances kept me on the treadmill until events retired me 5 years ago. I'm also a bit of a hermit with no kids, no sibs just 2 cats and that's just fine with me. When I 'settle' I'll get a dog. I spent last summer along the Canal du Midi, Castelnaudary and villages in the Aude, Orbe and Cesse River valleys looking for places that met my needs and wants; bicycle friendly, public swimming pools, and links to transportation, which is better in France than where I live now. I'm going to watch your whole series. I'm sure to be inspired. Thank you for your work. Carolyn

It was a heart choice, the size we are be able to take care is the perfect size. There's much around the house to be explored, to plant flowers and have fun. You can use water and soap to kill pestes, spray once in the early morning and once at night. I've been renovating for 9 years while living in an ancien factory house in a rural tiny Swiss French village where they used to make watch parts in the 60's. Now it's time to move on, maybe France or Portugal. I wish you much happiness. Solange

Very interesting hearing some of the history behind the house. With a lot of the trimming done now you’ve got a jump on spring cleanup. It will be fun seeing what plants pop up, I love gardening. Are the fireplaces the main heating, guess you’ll need a ton of wood. Can’t wait to see a warm fire on cold nights in them. ❤️👍🏻

How lovely! Good for you for finding help with some of the more strenuous work such as the landscaping. This brings to mind the removal of the banana trees in your last episode. You might think about reconsidering that, as they take very little attention. I started out (in south Florida) with 2 trees about 5 years ago. I do nothing to them other than throw a little fertilizer onto them once a year. This year I had 5 ‘crops’, and they are terrific conversation pieces. When one is harvested, that stump dies and can be dug and tossed. It will throw up a few ‘pups’ which become a new crop that will mature in another year of 2. They take so little time or attention, and are a wonderful conversation piece.
@chateauchronicles
@chateauchronicles Жыл бұрын
Yes, the problem with the banana trees is that they look odd in a chateau setting, and they are very close to the stone foundations of the steps and I worry they could unearth it. I am hoping to replace with something carefree but more in keeping with the setting. 😃

Wonderful updates, and look forward to your next "aventures' with decor, furnishings and the overall property. Sad about the topiary boxwoods blight -- hoping for a good solution to this pesky situation as the topiaries are so much a part of the classic French landscaping history. Your dog is loving this place! 🤗

Love the way you are showing maps and the layouts of the place. Helps to get a real sense of where things are. I get the sense that the caves and grottos have had human occupation for thousands of years and that they riddle the property and you could be finding them for years. The grotto emanates beautiful energy and the springs I believe have been sacred springs for a very long time as well. the cave used as the chapel emanates more of a Christian holiness and is amazingly peaceful and serene. I encourage you to see the 'devils' in the entrance room as nature 'daimons' or spirits of the living things. The most amazing place you have become the steward of.
