Want to change Float or Feeder tip colour easily?

What do you do if you have a selection of floats but don't like the colour of tip?

A block of polystyrene holds the floats well, just push the stem in and they stay perfectly vertical.

When painting my floats I use the split foam you put around copper pipe ,just cut a length then glue it to some cardboard to stabilise it then pop your floats in the split works for me as I make pellet wags .cheers thanks for the tips and vids ,best wishes for your match fishing

I discovered a dry wipe pen for blacking float tips, both pole & waggler. Stays on fine for the length of a session. The real plus is, a wipe with a bit of wetted foam or finger restores the tip back to glorious orange. 😀

Thanks. That is exactly what I wanted to know. Would a dry wipe pen stay on when wet and would it leave the top perfect after you wiped it off. A much better solution.

I hate yellow tips so i normally turn them black with some marker pen, i also always use a nail varnish hardener on my pole float bodies to tuff'em up a bit. Great video.

Yep, me too. Just can't see where Yellow is a good choice, unless you have lots of trees behind and no direct sunlight!

Great tips mate how long would it stay on before you have to do them again or would it be permanent or would it be better to use something like airfix paint in the little cans

Lasts for ages. Have never had to reapply, floats have always died first. If they start to look a bit shabby you can always put another quick coat on.
