So FYI.....I did this in the 80s on walls!!! Called ragging!! It is pretty cool!!!! Also, cheese cloth works amazing with wine!!!! Of course wasting wine has NEVER been my thing!!😉

How fun! I had paint water that i cleaned my paint brushes in and decided to try putting it on some papers after my my coffee water was gone. Paint water works too! I saw trees and water on the paper so I painted what I saw. It is now a beautiful journal page.

I always have yards muslin in my sewing room that might work. After tearing into large squares for this activity, they could be hung to dry and used in altered books or sewing projects!

I use a cheap dollar tree litter box when dying like this. Keeps them and mess contained. I just let them dry in there then iron later. Easy clean up.

I made a huge batch rag dyed paper. It was easy, fun, fast, and the shapes created by the rag were amazing. Love this will do this method again and again

pretty papers. Acrylic in water would work too. I dyed my rag strips of bed sheet and sheer curtains for ribbons with it. I have yellow, blue, aqua and green. cool papers you got.

I love that you’re doing this with coffee. It takes me back to my faux finishing days. This is called rag rolling. Brilliant that you stumbled upon it. There’s also “reverse” rag rolling where you spread wet paint and do this with a dry rag. Thanks for taking it to a new level. 💗

People in the old days rolled the rags into roses. And they did it to their walls like fake wall paper. I did this to my verandah floors. People though I had tiled it looked so good with gloss house paint.

I'm loving this idea. Opened a can of beets just the other day & saved the juice thinking I would try coloring some paper with it but it isn't a lot of juice. Now I know how I will give it a try 😁 TFS😊
