Today I, a 300s elo player, faced against a 500s elo player, literally lost all my pieces except my Pawn and my King which were left to go up against their 2 Bishops, their knight, and their Rook, I employed this tactical strategy for the first, and I somehow managed to get the enemy to blunder a stalemate despite having the overwhelming advantage. Thank you Levy, very cool.

I love this tip! - You're already lost, so doing something "crazy" is not a big deal - The opponent will see an exposed king and begin salivating, searching for ways to attack it - While attacking, opponent may forget to defend his own pieces or king - The king itself is an effective offensive piece, able to restrict several squares from the enemy king with opposition

I don’t recommend taking the king run advice too seriously. The first piece of advice he gives to keep pieces on the board and make the position messy is 100% correct though and has won me countless games. I’ve gone from 1200 to 2000 in about a year and I know from experience that just running the king rarely results in good things and usually will get you mated very quickly to any decent player. Even in the video, there were so many mates missed and the player got lucky to run through that minefield and have their opponent blunder mate.

I never just queue into games but I play some with my friends from time to time, probably somewhere around 800-900 level. I do this against them and it only works a handful of times (and even then usually with a draw, not mate) but it's better than nothing!! During a time crunch especially, finding mate can be harder than running away.

And it just happened to me.. blundered the queen and just tought... sh°° but at that stage looks like your brain goes overdrive and finds all cunnning tricks to gain an advantage... you know what... I won at the end! Same with the king run, my opponent started running all over the board and it baffled me.. Yes, I mated him, but at 0:02.46 yes.. that close, so if you've got time on your side, definitely worth a try. That last mate at the end was absolutely great!!!

Congrats. I remember when I hit 1000 8 years ago. 1000 is the rating that made me realize I know nothing about chess and I was still a complete Beginner. Stay strong because the journey just began fir you.

Levy BTW that 3.12M subs is looking good. Running the King, an excellent technique for swindling. It's almost like it says "Yikes, the castle is breached, I'm gonna make a break for it. Exile is better than death." All the books say to activate the King, (in the endgame) and one famous GM said the King is an attacking piece, but this is taking it to the next level. I almost now have to think of King as a Queen, just with a short range. Thanks man.

In blitz games hiding your king amongst all of your pieces left is very nice. Beginners and Intermediates do not know how to break through and attack you, so they will just end up making random moves (run out of time), only thing you need to be aware of is promotion.

I'm worried that Levi is develping a yelling, growling, screaming persona that will develop into high blood pressure and will be unhealthy for him... No need to shout and growl at us... We see these amazing turns of events. Indeed very impressive games.

I played my 1st online opponent today. Blundered 2 bishops. Ran my king up the board and somehow took his queen and the knight he was chasing me with. The opponent resigned, but I thought the match was over after those early blunders
