You’re so right about advertisers. I shudder to think of how much & how often they’re taking advantage of creators especially given their often very young ages & lack of experience in the industry. I say, shoot for at least 4 x higher than you think you deserve. It’s business. I doubt they’re worrying about creators feelings etc so don’t worry about theirs. Good for you & your ongoing success!

Ugh it’s sooo hard when you’re working! I would say it’s worth skipping an upload so you can get ahead. Might sound counter intuitive lol but if you can try and always be a week ahead (whatever it takes) then you have way more flexibility with when you film/edit. But other than that, no, I’m sorry it’s rough 😭😭😭

This was such a fascinating/informative video! As a fellow remote worker, it's sometimes SO HARD to find that motivation. From past videos it seems we have the same mentality of living by a to do list and creating those "micro-wins" during the week that lead to progress towards the bigger win. I'm a huge data nerd, so just looked up my history with your channel. The first video I watched (was truly blessed by the algorithm) was "do influencer's instagram outfits ACTUALLY look good in real life?" yes, all the time! if they ever try to control the creative concept of the video (e.g. they often say "we want this to go in a thrifting video") i push back. they're paying for a sponsored segment of a video so i don't let them choose the video idea, but i obviously always run my concept by them and make sure it's a good fit for both of us xx

the creators getting fucked because they didn’t stick to their morals always makes me think of b*stdressed working with amazon 🫢 absolutely no hate to her, but just a prime example of how your audience can and will become upset with you if you take a sponsor that doesn’t align with your displayed ethics. amazing video harriet!
