i loveeed this! i'm a video and podcast editor but always looking for youtubers to edit for, i find ytjobs is so male?? it got me in my head for a second i was like hold on there's a seriously big gap in this market for female editors for female creators, its weird especially in this day and age i thought we'd come further by now in terms of gendered industries lmao

There’s definitely a huge gap!! I actually think I probably get more clients than most people purely because I’m a female editor filling that gap 😂 it’s definitely changing though!

Do you price by "task" or hourly? Like how do meetings and tasks like setting up the notion fit into your price quotes?

I technically price by task but it all gets put into a monthly retainer rather than it being itemised! meetings i don't charge for and the notion was just a random task that isn't regular and they'll take over now that it's set up!

Definitely some things! I’m always realistic about what I can/can’t do with them though so generally what they’re asking for is within my capabilities already, but I’m always looking to upskill

Hi Harriet :) Do you ever get lonely working from home? I typically work in an office, but I can WFH too which I found so challenging! It could be because I'm not used to it + the communication delay with other staff over Teams haha but overall I found it more stressful + so lonely! How do you find it? ❤

It can definitely be super lonely!! Luckily ethan also works from home which makes it so much easier & I try to cowork with friends once a week 💕💕 I’ve built systems to ease the loneliness!!
