As a wife and Mom who honors and serves God, I am almost always the one who Satan comes for first. Ladies, we are the spiritual gatekeepers of our homes. It is our responsibility to pray and anoint our home and cover our husbands and children. I ignored the supernatural for a long time but once I recognized spiritual warfare for what it was, I got strong in fighting the enemy.

I just want to make sure you know that the Bible says for the man to cover the wife spiritually. Yes it is necessary to pray for him and your children. However because women are more vulnerable spiritually, we need our husband’s spiritual covering and guidance. Satan attacks us first because of our vulnerability so that is why we follow God’s order: God, man, woman, children. Have a blessed day!

This topic has been on my heart a lot! I’m hoping to get married and move in about a year so I wrote a prayer I’ve been saying often for my future. It’s quite long but I’ll share it for anyone wanting to pray over their home or future one! I pray over my future home. I pray over the front door, for protection as we walk out that door each day, that everyone would be blessed when they walk through it into our home. I pray that my husband will be greeted there with gratitude every day after work. I pray over our bedroom, while it is a place that the world will say that You don’t belong, that You’ll still be at the center of it and be honored. May it be a place of intimacy and rest. May we never lose our love, respect, pursuit, desire, and servitude toward each other. When hard times arrive, may our relationship not be a place of divide but of peace. May we remember that our home is not simply made of four walls but of a covenant of God that has made us one. I pray over the room that’ll change over the years from a nursery, to having a set of bunk beds, and eventually into a guest room. I pray that as our kids grow up and move away, they know just as You have a room prepared for them in Your house, there is always a place for them in ours. I pray our sons will be able to look to their dad to learn how be a leader that emulates Jesus. I pray they’ll know how to handle responsibility, be willing to sacrifice, and that they won’t allow pride to get in the way. I pray that our daughters would know that they’re cherished by a King. I pray they’ll be able to look to their dad as proof that good men are out there. I pray I’ll be able to guide them in learning how to carry themselves and show them to not let the things of this world take place of having a heart for others. I pray the kitchen will be blessed with produce to make homemade meals, that our bodies would be nourished and healthy. I pray that cooking won’t be a chore but a creative outlet to take care of others. I pray the dinner table will be filled conversation, laughter, growth, and invitations. I pray for gratitude as the laundry piles up to get washed and folded. I pray for gratitude for baby clothes that are quickly stained and grown out of by healthy little ones, for the sweaty uniforms from the sports our kids will get to enjoy, for work clothes worn each day for the jobs that put a roof over our heads, for date night outfits prioritized by a lasting marriage, I pray for gratitude for the ability to buy clothes and the deep purpose they serve. I pray that our home will be well taken care of, clean and orderly, but also well-lived in, inviting, and that memories coat the walls of every room. I pray that the sound of music, chit chat of friends, and laughter of children will be evident. I pray that it’ll be a place that people come over for relaxation or help, that it’ll be a place where they feel safe enough to receive Your peace, rest, and comfort on their best and worst days. I pray that our kids and their friends would always feel like they have a place to stay, that our home is a place where they are safe. I pray they’ll know transparency is okay and that mistakes will inevitably be made, I pray that they’ll be raised with an example of what a healthy marriage, family, and home look like. I pray that they’ll all know they’re never too young or too far gone, the invitation of faith is always at their feet for them to embrace. I pray that verses won’t merely be decorations on the walls but written on our hearts. I pray we would have the wisdom to know a house is not made a home by possessions but by the character of its people. I pray that the creativity of a budget will be encouraged, that we will steward Your money well. That no matter how much or little we have, it won’t be spent selfishly. May I not view my house as a burden. May my children not be seen as mess to clean up after, may the dishes and muddy floors not seem like one chore after another, may the needed maintenance of the backyard not be a reason to belittle my husband. Lord, the value of some things are too difficult and intricate to quantity… the Home is one of those things. May it all be seen as blessing. From when we first move into a small apartment and are unable to afford a couch, to when we have our forever home with the gift of future and past generations celebrating, May it all be seen as a blessing. May it all be from you. Thank you for my future home. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Sometimes I feel really gross, dirty and icky. That I feel ashamed to talk to God or talk to a church goer. But, then I remember whose hand he touched. Who's feet he washed. WOW, this video came at the right time. I am about 7 years into my faithful walk with God, so now I can tell when I've drifted, or when He is calling. Typically when God wants to speak He will wake me up around 3am and it'll be sudden and I won't be able to fall back asleep till He says what He needs to say. This morning it happened. I was woken up and I didn't even check the clock....I know the drill. I walked to the livingroom, grabbed my journal and bible and started to pray. I felt strongly to pray for our house and the Holy Spirit kept pushing me to go into my husband's gym area and pray/read the word in there. I could sense there was a bad presence that needed to be broken off of our house in that room, so I prayed, finished reading and walked back to my bed and immediately fell back to sleep. I used to get bothered when I would be woken so early if I'm being honest, but now I look forward to it. God always presents something that brings healing or answers and I'm so grateful that He wants to wak along side me.

I'm so glad to see your comment ❤ I am in those same shoes and as I started to watch the video I knew it's a great thing to do but very quickly I got this disheartened feeling because I'm not a stay at home wife or momma, but single and go to work way before sunrise everymorning ( 5 days a week) and come home tired and often to tired to even feel like praising at all ! And I get discouraged and lonely in my singlehood the older I get, but I do want to remain faithful to the Lord who has also blessed me abundantly! But life is hard no matter what situation you're in ! Most times it feels like I get looked at as I shouldn't have anything to be anxious about or struggles of much any kind because I'm single.. unfortunately that's not the case for me , I just have to figure out how to get through everything alone

I had a dear friend loose people in a mass shooting a month ago, and the next Sunday our church all prayed out loud (like a popcorn prayer from when we were children). She prayed in front of the whole congregation- it was one of the more powerful moments of my life thus far, to take hold of the hands of a friend and walk in grief towards our LORD together to seek comfort, healing, and peace for our community and the families who lost dear ones.

I haven't done it so much since my children have left home, but when I had my children I would be praying as I did my housework, as I washed the dishes, as I cleaned the floors as I mowed the lawn. It is simply a case of "praying without ceasing, for this is the will of God concerning you". Even now when I struggle to pray as I used to because of the constant pain I live with that messes with my mental abilities, I still feel my heart calling out and talking to God. I don't think you need to do the things you take it to. You can say those exact prayers anywhere, you don't need to do it in the exact locations. And finally, I do not believe the story of the walls of Jericho is an example of what you call a prayer walk. It was a straight out lesson in faith and obedience in God's power and love and that He can do everything we need doing in our lives, it is not up to us alone to be victorious. The walls didn't fall down because of Joshua, it was God who reduced the walls to rubble. He just wanted the people of Israel to remember that the victories on the way to the promised land were because of Him, and the people only had to obey Him and recognise that.

Just bf I found this video I had read a portion from my journal that I had written some time ago about faith! I literally, in that moment, realized Why I am lost for words when I come bf the Lord to pray for my family. I am married to a narcissist who was clever enough for the first 2 years of our marriage to be my very best friend…how do you do better than that? Well he was hiding and grooming me! (It’s 20 years now) After that he has been a person of rage. I have two children and now I am taking care of my mother who has dementia…I am trying to return to faith in MY LORD in the midst of trauma that is less than years bf now but it never goes away. The Lord has really been using you to help me on my spiritual journey. I'm a sahm and I'm in a very toxic relationship. The mental and emotional manipulation and abuse took a toll on me, I can't even be the mother my son needs. my dad(and mom, mostly my dad though) did this ALL the time when we were kids and still to this day. he would come to our rooms and anoint our foreheads with oil. it’s really cool to see a lot of the practices i saw growing up being adopted by others.

Thank you many years ago a family member came to my home I wanted her to pray over my home when she got to our bedroom she got chills said a bad spirit was there she started speaking in tongue I felt so much piece when she left so I take my anointed oil pray in my home i put it in my son and grandchildren shoes on there beds in the name of Jesus keep them safe open there heart and eyes to his love

I did this for every section of my bedroom; my desk, my bed, my closet, prayer table etc. It dramatically brought me peace and it reminded me of the goodness of God -- there was a time where I couldn't have ANY of these things. Praise be to God!

I do this when I go on walks , I use this time to pray the whole time and the prayers are different each time who they are for what they are about but my walks are always prayer walks , was happy to have quiet time with the lord outside and get movement in , never thought about how it could be positively impacting the neighborhood as I did this ❤ thank you for the video
