Everybody in Ghana has a genuine excuse for breaking the law including bribe takers and thieves. This says a lot about the kind of people we are. I think it's time we really look at ourselves and see what we can do as a people to change this narrative. It's laughable but really sad.

Is the police suppose to prevent accident from occuring or suppose to arrest u after the accident. Instead of hiding sumwer after the u-turn, why don't they stand at the u-turn to prevent drivers from using the unauthorized u-turn and risking their lives.... they can equally place a sign post at those unauthorized u-turns to wave off drivers and arrest when defaulted.

Oh what are you talking about? If you have a driver's license it automatically says you have gone to a driving school and learnt all the traffic rules. The police is not there to necessarily correct but to bring you before the law after committing an offense. YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO KNOW BETTER...

Well, this system is akin to monitoring and evaluation of driver compliance to road traffic regulations. And for the avoidance of doubt, it is an accepted method of police traffic stops worldwide.

That's what they do around TEMASCO in Tema. They used to hide even in the trees along that road but now they are in their private cars or on the police bike waiting patiently for you to do the U turn. They extort money from the culprits every day

The police officers should be consistent and firm. Why allow cameras on some offending motorist and not others? The footage in it's self is evidence of a crime committed, so I don't think any driver can and should be sheilded from the lenses. The embarrassment is also a deterrent.

What kind of language is 'please you are under arrest'? The IGP should get this police personnel trained properly and with confidence!! If they know the laws governing their operations to the max, they will apply the laws to the letter without having to be apologetic for someone who contravenes the law.. If you fall foul of the law, the cops should spell that out without blinking!!!!!! Unless they don't know what they are doing as cops on the roads themselves!!!! The honest truth is Ghana can can’t work lawfully..our scrupulous behaviour is from infancy and nothing stops it..if this’s yo be enforced,90% drivers will always fall victims..you can’t do this on camera whiles other officers accept 5gh and 10gh and let the offenders go freely

I dont understand, why wait till they commit this offense of illegal U-turn. Why don't the police get close to the place. It seems the police is more reactive than proactive. Simply mount someone at the place the drivers are turning wrongly. Ghana police please get men on the exact site, where drivers are doing wrongful U-turn..

If you are not aware, some turns are there for emergency vehicles and not for everyday use by ordinary drivers!!! Ambulances, fire department trucks etc.....
