I guess you will always lose light landing craft to landings but there was also a Fortress unit defending it with bigger guns. I think the invasion was the perfect number of troops and the landing craft helped them all participate in the shock attack.

It seems as much. I'm definitely regularly showing my inexperience. Which of course includes using landing craft. And in so many ways, I'm still learning how things work together (and independently). In this case, I had no idea what to expect with my Mili invasion. Thanks for the input.

@@gillynt I havent seen any Allied games going this far, so I'm really not sure how many landing craft are ideal to lose each time.I think losing a couple is fine given U.S. production but I'm sure Japanese airstrikes would be much more devastating

Kusaie is possibly within range of Truk. I doubt he has Kusaie undefended. That may trigger KB to sortie.

For sure; good points. I intend to do some recon in the near future, but not too soon to give it away yet. Regarding Truk and KB sorties, I will definitely have my CVs in the area to cover that kind of invasion. It's possible I'll wait for USS Essex to arrive even. To be determined...

@@gillynt Given you sank a few of his carriers off Moresby, you can probably take on KB, but if you are in range of Nells/Betty too that kind of negates your advantage. I'm not sure if he built Yamato?
