He's a weakling lol. A walking stress doll who utterly lacked his own identity or sense of will. The fact that the writers made him do a complete 180 from the lapdog he was into the man who kills Carmilla (the actual best character btw) is hilarious at best tbh.

@@Nykandros someone must not have paid attention during season 3. The fact he gradually did a 180 from his start to his end, Dracula saving his life being the catalyst for his change, is what made him a great character. Spent his whole life serving others, what is he to do now that he's free to make his own choices? Die in the desert, or finally serve himself for a change? He chose the latter, and it led him down a bumpy path to growing tolerant of his fellow humans. When one group would persecute him, there was a shopkeeper who gave him a gift. When another group denied him passage through a town, there was a captain who offered to take him where he needed to go, and offered him some life changing advice. His views on humanity has been curveballed left and right, until he finally decided to attempt to make a world of peace, starting with the necromancer and ending with Carmilla. He no longer hated humans, but he didn't like the majority of them either. So that's why he decided to build his own city on the ruins of another. Just like himself, his city started from nothing, and would become something great, where there is only peace and only love. To you I say L take, good person. L take.

​@@Metphies- None of that matters lol. He is little more than a vessel for the will of others; he has no identity, no sense of self or drive. He is completely & wholly defined by submission to externalities. There is, quite literally, no semblance of volition in Isaac's character when the show starts. Yet when the third season drops we're just supposed to believe that all of a sudden he's this self-driven, willful individual set on carving out his own path in the world? How? Where were the signs for this behavior in his character before? When were the seeds of this self-determinant attitude displayed? The complete 180 of his behavior is pulled out of thin air, in order to justify some sort of righteous redemption for an otherwise pathetic character. On top of that, the writers make him kill Carmilla; the one character worthy of praise in the entire show. A person fully aware of who they are & what they want; playing all the others for a fiddle in the process. Prideful, competent & possessed of unlimited ambition in the most ruthless way possible. She got the short end of the stick as a human and what was her reaction? To break the stick & take a bigger one through force. And why stop there? Why not take it all? She alone was the best-written character. No "woe is me" pity-party like Isaac or Hector. No delusion or naivety like Dracula & his family. No weakness. Simply pride, ambition & volition. A being of pure will.
