I'm a Sci-Fi fan. I like the original movie War of the Worlds (1953) and I liked the 1988 series. You did a good job in remastering this.

Oddly it is included randomly on some of the episodes on the UK version, unknown why it was removed from others.

There's a couple of episodes later in Season 1 that are genuinely frightening. I don't think anybody has gotten the 'War of the Worlds' concept right, thus far. Several have tried. But each time offers its own positives. This show, included. I hope someday that some excellent filmmakers REALLY get it right. The 1953 version is my favorite, thus far, and it had plenty of problems.

@herbsuperb6034 I remember a scene where an alien grabbed a person face and crushed it or took out the person's eyes. My memory is a little foggy . But I remember being shocked and grossed out lol.

I was lead here via a post on a WOTW FB page I follow I was just getting ready to rewatch the series and come across this! You’re truly doing the lords work here I only watched about 5 minutes while I was at work but was blown away by how crisp your upscaling is It actually looks watchable now I can’t wait to get home and watch it on my big ass TV! Big thanks to Pete for sharing this I cannot wait for you to finish the series (Season 1. Season 2 doesn’t count 😂)

I’ve watched episodes 1 & 2 and they were amazing on my 65in There were a couple of spots were the blacks were a little blocky but that could’ve been my connection. I’m trying to savor what you’ve released so far because I’m sure it’s a lot of work to crank out such quality content. Keep ‘em coming 😁

Pay close attention to the sound of the heat ray at 1:06, you can hear a part of Sylvia van Buren's scream from the 1953 film. It's from when her uncle Matthew got disintegrated.

I thought I'd never see this show in HD, now that Ai remastering software is in the public domain, we don't have to wait until blu ray, I generally use Ai, then couple my 4k TV to my pc and watch stuff that way, but this has saved me all that hassle 👍

I've seen the first season of this odd little 80s show several times. Enjoy it a great deal. I've tried getting into Season 2, but it's like a completely different show. Can anybody that's seen the whole thing chime in on whether or not it is worth the time?
