This is incredible, utterly amazing! You’re very talented. I’ve just started playing again after 40 + years. Im hoping to play this eventually. Thank you for sharing your talent. It’s very inspiring. Jeff Wayne’s War of the worlds musical is my all time favourite.

Thank you so much for your kind words, I'm so glad to hear you're getting back into the "swing" of it! The original double album was my first record! Keep practising, and enjoy your achievements!

Magnificent! I just re-watched this 1 year later and I am still amazed as to how you managed to put this piece all together! I have heard other covers but this one is far more superior. It's not an easy piece to replicate, but you did it so well. Well done!

Amazing! Well done! You have put a lot of work into this and the sound is superb, short of watching the real live Jeff Wayne live orchestra. Very entertaining. Thank you.

Thank you for your kind words! Yes, there's no MIDI file used, it's all using preset accompaniments. I simply set up the registrations and played in my own 8 multi pads. Oh, and practiced a bit...

It sounds amazing. It seems you put a lot of work arranging styles, multi-pads, registrations etc. It is wonderful to hear it. Well done and I look forward to hear more of the songs you play.

Heyy! I found this a couple weeks back, and I really love it. You’re like a single man orchestra. I have an electric keyboard, and I really want to play this like you did. Do you happen to have the sheet music for it? It would be a lot easier for me if I was able to follow the sheet music instead of following where you put your fingers. Thanks!

Hi polarpals! Thank you for your kind words! I used to have the sheet music for the album, I may have added a few more notes along the way … my thinking was if I play as many as I can at once some are bound to be right… I’m sure if you were to do a quick google you may get results …

Absolutely brilliant. Did you make up the multi pads yourself as i can't seem to find any like them anywhere. thanks
@parallelstudio2 жыл бұрын
Hi Robert thank you so much for your kind words! Yes, there are two banks of multi pads and I played them in . They’re a very powerful tool to add extra layers to a performance and I often just create my own - on the Toccata video I use one for the synth arpeggio and had to play it in at quarter speed . Might take a little while to get them how you want them but so worthwhile!

Hi and thank you for your performance. For my musical study I am looking for styles or a way to create this performance. Do you have some advise or information where to get a style for this song? What you created is just what I am looking for to create.

Hi, thank you for your kind words! I hope you are well. The album was released in the late 70s in the disco era so depending on what instrument you’re using find the disco rhythms. Pare down the backing, mark on the sheet music where the sound changes will be and program in advance everything you can’t do live. Listen to the source material over and over and over again, but put your own spin on it too. Most of all, enjoy experimenting and have fun playing! Wishing you joy and happiness with music x

Excellent work, learning this on genos, I think I may have some of those voices. Pads?
@parallelstudio3 жыл бұрын
Hello and thank you for your kindness in leaving a comment. There are two banks of Multi-Pads, so 8 in total. I listened for the recurring themes and where there were counter melodies I used a Multi-Pad for one and played the other live. Keep playing and good luck!

Nice , Tutorial pls
@parallelstudio3 жыл бұрын
Hi, quick tutorial: get the sheet music, take notes on it by listening over and over, where the strings need to come in, what sounds to use; ie brass, elec guitar, synth etc. Be familiar with each section and find disco rhythms suitable, reduce the number of accompaniment instruments if you can and if you have "multi-pads" use them - you can see where I trigger them on the video. I have 8 (two banks of 4) and each registration can remember which bank so you can easily switch between multi pad banks. Set up your registrations and... practice. Practice. Practice. Good luck and let me know how you get on!
