I believe you forgot to roll the second batch of 2 dice for a total of 12 (sequence starts at 5:00)

They are moot since there is nothing left to hit. I should have mentioned this though.

I apologize. Not sure if this is a good place for some ideas. I like the detail and decision-making of the original but think the time-savings is a great idea. The primary option missing in my opinion is the Def vs Off stancing. Which would be nice to work into the quick version if it doesnt add too much time. Couple of Possibilites... which I believe puts back some of the tactical (and even strategic) decision-making, could be one of the following (??) 1) At the beginning, after the numbers have been written onto the boards, each player (having considered it during the "writing in" portion) decides secretly to be Defensive or Offensive (cannot be "neutral"). Using a Hotspot marker (or other?) secretly choose "Hotspot" if Offensive or "Embattled" if Defensive. Reveal and place on your board. Offensive allows ONE white dice miss roll to be turned to Black (now counted as wild of course). And Defensive opponent forces Offensive player to do the opposite, turn ONE Black over to White (I believe which always means miss). Not sure if this should be done BEFORE assigning or after. And if Offensive player decides which black turned to white or Defensive player decides after placement....AND/OR does Off decide first, then Def... OR, Offensive still turns one White to Black, and Defender simply chooses a unit to "survive" One "hit". OR.. some version of this that does not become too "Thinky". OR... 2) Offensive lets you reroll One (or Two?) dice... and Defensive either makes Offender reroll One (or Two?) dice that are normally hits (offender or defender chooses??) OR Defender chooses One unit that was destroyed to not be. **) Sorry if this wastes anyones time. I have not played but paid good attention to rules vids and playthroughs, but I may likely be off base with some assumptions that make these not plausible or too unwieldy (and of course NOT wanting to add too much to the Time since its point is to speed things up).

BGG or our Discord will be a more convenient place for such a brainstorm level discussion, I think. discord.gg/ywrjTHD

hi, i am gonna buy the WAR ROOM Quick Battle Kit. One is enough? I mean I am upgrading from first edition. Or this kit is intended for 2 players only? thanks
@NightingaleGamesLLC3 жыл бұрын
One quick battle kit will support one battle (between two sides). There are quick battle boards included in the 2nd edition core, but if you are upgrading from V1 then you might want a 2nd if you plan to run 2 simultaneous battles to speed things along.
