F100 has good performance, just not on par with the Mig19. However, getting guns on target is much easier in the F100 when compared to the Mig19. That's why I'd say that the F100 is slightly more effective against subsonics than the Mig19, but the Mig19 counters the F100.
Mixed match filled with premium jets, and my team seems to get the ground pounding ones. Should be fun!

Just wanted to let you know that i in my nearly stock TA 152 H1 used all the knowledge you taught me and decimated two F4Us by using MER knowledge and baiting them into a turn fight. I kept turning in circles, did a very shallow spiral climb knowing how bad the Corsairs are in the vertical they lost energy, while I started at low energy, on the deck when they dove on me. Reversed the odds and killed them both. It was all because of you, Adam. Never think for a moment that your videos aren't helping anyone out. They are. You've transformed me. Thank you! Please, when deciding whether to put that one extra bit of tip in your video or to leave it because it might be too much, put that tip in. You never know who you're helping.

Thanks for the praise! Not everyone knows what it is, and it's not that simple of a subject. Still there was a lot of misinformation concerning MER. In some cases it's good to bleed speed, but you can do that with throttle/flaps. Better MER gives you the option of conserving energy.

Weeeeell, there are currently only 2 supersonics so "worst" supersonic isn't saying much. It's better for the people who can't aim the MiG-19, at least. Also, 1440p!! I was facing this thing in a custom battle and it actually seemed to turn pretty well. At least better than the mig-19. Can you see the local host as you are playing? P.S. I figured out how to play the P-80 and it's actually pretty good at energy traps, with those great flaps it has. I also think I'm pretty good at tapping the airbrake, if I do say so myself. So that's a pretty big advantage, when done right. Currently the high-speed roll rate SUCKS but hopefully that improves with boosters.

Haha you figured it out! I'm just saying I think it's worse than the Mig19! F100 is probably more noob friendly for the aim, while Mig19 is more noob friendly for the performance. Mig19 has a noticeable turn advantage over the F100 in my experience and tests. Yeah local host is open on my laptop next to me when I fly.

Actually, in my experience the F-100 usually out turns the MiG-19, it can't turn with something like a MiG-15. But it is the second fastest turning tier VI jet. (Behind the javelin)

Some people ground pound as they have a stock aircraft, I'mma just gonna say that cause ground pounding helped me through the hellish grind of the f9f-8 banshee when I first got it, head ons where a waist of ammo as the spread of the 20mm is about a 5-7degree angle so you can only hit targets effectively at .3 to .5 I'm away, but since the f9f-8 is slow... Your not gonna be close enough to shoot them unless they are stalling, so going for light targets until you get an upgrade like better guns helps.))

One thing I've noticed messing around with voidmei/localhost is the "efficiency" metric, and "effpower." I assume this is propeller efficiency? It's an interesting metric, since aircraft with more efficient propellers get 10% extra effective power or more compared to aircraft with less efficient propellers. Also, aircraft with larger propellers avoid the stall thrust problem because the propeller doesn't have to spin as fast to generate the same impulse, right?

The one to look at to strictly see propeller efficiency is "efficiency" on the local host. Void Mei shows Power and EffPower IIRC, so it doesn't show prop efficiency directly. Yeah the P/W ratio can be significantly different to the effective P/W when taking into account efficiency. High tier Bf109s typically have relatively low prop efficiency (75%), while the Tempests have around 90%. The prop efficiency also drastically lowers for some aircraft at high speed as the prop spins so fast that transonic drag affects it significantly. That's partly right. Bigger props (as well as more blades or more blade area) can take in more engine power before stalling, and in aircraft with a sufficient prop size the engine doesn't have enough power to stall the prop even at 0 airspeed.

I’m somewhat “new” to wt and I bought the jet bundle and a lot of the stuff u talked about in this video is almost the same stuff the runs threw my head when ever I’m in a dogfight of some sort but the only problem for me is that I struggle aiming and can’t seem to hit anything. If you're new I highly recommend flying tier 1-2, it's much more forgiving and the basics of aim do apply to the other tiers. Aim comes mostly from experience.

It's just mouse with keyboard input to make it smoother, and tapping negative elevator key during turns to lose less energy.

Btw, how do I tell the missile optimal range? It says a lock range much longer than 3km but you release the missile below to 2km

Lock on range is greater than the actual range of the missile. Range also depends on altitude. You need to learn how the different missile variants perform.

Thanks! Ground pounding is when you go to kill ground targets, instead of killing the enemy planes. Maneuvering Energy Retention. Essentially it's a measure of how much energy (speed) an aircraft loses when maneuvering. Different aircraft will lose speed at different rates depending on their power, weight, wing, geometry, etc. I did some tests and made a video explaining it if you're interested: kzbin.info/www/bejne/rX2kaZappb2VmKc

Adam I have a question, when you go head-on at such close ranges, why not fire the missile, I doubt they could dodge it below 1km.

Missiles can't lock on from the front, they need to have line of sight with the engines. Also even if I could fire them, missiles travel straight for around 0.5km before maneuvering, so it would be easy to dodge.

Worst supersonic? The F100-D is way more versatile than the Mig by a longshot. The F100-D can hold a large amount of bombs, rockets, and missles. The F100-D has loads more ammo than a Mig, and the Mig doesn't have as many options for that ammo either.

What I do is I have it open on my laptop next to me and I record it at the same time as the gameplay, and combine them during editing. There is a way of overlaying the local host information over the game, but I've never done it.
