That spitfire is either extremely dumb or is having an extremely bad day. I never thought I'd see someone report because the plane that killed them was flying in a different direction than they were. Have you tried out the P-51 C-10? I can't seem to be able to figure out a climb IAS, and it just ends up feeling like an inferior P-47. I can't build energy as fast, and I seem to lose it quicker. I actually got shot down when in it by you a couple days ago, if you remember.

Basically better P51 D5 As climb rate the reference is from wwiiaircraftperformance said that optimal climb speed is 272 IAS on lower alt. tbh almost all amerikan plane are quite difference than other nation the faster you go the better you climb. shallow climb work best.

One thing you can do against 109s is get them on your tail almost in shooting distance like 0.8-1.0km away and go into a dive once you are going really fast do a split S at like 2k meters where the air is not too dense so they think if they follow you they will be fine and once they follow they might brake their wings off It's worth a try in desperate situations. Sometimes works at lower brs

Had a match a couple days ago (forgot which map) where it was American/Japan vs the world. Our 2 american fighters had been shot down and it was only the japanese left, they only had 1 plane left and it was this speedy demon. I only got a single hit on him from a headon-dodge he just stayed out of range of everyone's guns. I luckily had brought extra fuel in my Clipped A6M3 so i volunteered as bait and endlessly dodging his passes until the rest of my team drained the tickets for a victory.

Great video! Personally I would refrain from engaging aircraft above 10,000 feet due to the extreme power loss. It also seems to work better when bombing bases first then engaging fighters

You know, since you did this attacker turboprop, maybe do the A2D-1 someday? I don't think it'd be an overstatement to call it OP with that airspawn + climbrate, you can BnZ early jets for days with that thing, and most people don't really treat you as a huge threat. I'm glad that most Allies fly it as an attacker instead of a fighter, Axis wouldn't stand a chance. Nowadays I'm not really sure, since you can actually face 8.0 stuff, but I used to stomp with that thing back when max BR was 7.3.

Adam, can you do a video on the A7Ms? I recently bought the premium one even though i heard it was nerfed, but i just cant figure it out completly....It feels way too clumsy and slow. I have no reference of how it was before the nerf, but now I get the feeling that it only works relatively fine within a very small margin of speeds, lets say 300 to 450 kph...Anywhere outside of that speed range it is either a brick or a ball of elevator compression...Its really frustrating, i dont know if its me or the nerf

A lot of the same principles apply, but it's still significantly different. Being aware of nearby enemies is much harder, as well as identifying friend and foe. Might try sim from time to time, as I have in the past.

heyy adam an off topic question, but I really need help with this one. What is the optimal prop pitch for the F8F 1B? im trying MEC with this plane as it is necessary (without it its engine just boils after a minite). so I have the radiator set in a way that cools the engine well, but I feel lile the prop pitch is somehow deteriorating my performance. I usually have it set at 90-94%

100% is a good rule of thumb, can do low 90s% to improve cooling a bit, but put it back to 100% when you're above 4km or you'll lose power.

Hey Adam, how old is this footage? It looks like its taken before hispano nerf. Interesting choice of playstyle. I usually take bombs, climb by the side of the map to around 3.5k metres, drop them on bases and then go for fighters. Sadly, sometimes by that time 70% of fighters are dead, because they dont bother climbing. I have also noticed this plane has very strange thermodynamics. If you keep running it on close to 100 % for 20+ minutes, it is able to overheat even at below 80% throttle, which to me looks really wrong.

That's up to personal taste. I use 500m on everything now, but I started with 300m.

Thanks! Maneuvering Energy Retention. Essentially it's a measure of how much energy (speed) an aircraft loses when maneuvering. Hmm somewhat, there's more predicting to do to line up shots. Spraying is also viable.

GG fighters ! Ah oui, le Wyvern. Le BR (4,3) de cet avion est ridicule, je trouve. J'ai encore des flashbacks de quand je grindais le Ta 152H dans mon FW 190 D-12 il y a deux ans (ou plus) et où des joueurs dans cet avion nous trollaient toute la partie (et c'était des parties remplis d'avions en 5,0-5,3 ):O Impossible de rattraper l'avion a basse altitude sans le forcer à sortir de la carte ou de lui couper la route ! (il fallait s'y mettre à plusieurs avec un avantage d'altitude) Ok c'est pas le meilleur avion de un contre un et il est assez dépendant de l'équipe (Boom n' Zoom oblige) mais il reste meilleur que la plupart des chasseurs lourds/bimoteurs en 5,0 je pense, surtout en squad.

Ouais c'est trop bas à 4.3. Il y a 2 ans cependant le Wyvern était meilleur que ce qu'il est en ce moment.
