The Pershing was my favorite tank in War Thunder, but only after it was spaded. With the stock engine, it's a real drag to play.

5:10 F8F Bearcats carrying the 1000s are super-imbalanced if you drop one wing's but not the other, so the plane overbanks toward the heavy wing if you turn that way. That being said, I usually prefer the F4U-7 with SNEBs for CAS in these BRs for the French, as you can get quite a few rocket passes and SNEBs don't drop very much. On the topic of the M26 itself, biggest complaint I had was its initial acceleration from stop (the engine power is kinda meh). Gun wobbles get better with the Suspension upgrade, which I usually prioritize on anything without a stabilizer.

I noted you said so yourself in the following match. My point about the F4U-7 and SNEBs still stands though - fire them in salvos of 4 or 8 really helps the otherwise-low damage.

never played the Pershing (even in the US Tree) until i got to the French tree and started to try it out and it was more fun than i thought it was going to be. don't think any of the Perhings (M26, M26E1, T26E5, SP) should be 6.7 though. they should be at 6.3 like how they used to be until Gaijin did a Gaijin thing and moved them which was annoying.
