I was able to get my hands on the first Battle Pass Plane. The ITP (M-1). There was a couple of these aircraft built as prototypes as armament heavy fighters. Currently in-game it is at a 3.3 Battle Rating, flies very comparable to a La-5, and has a punishing armament of 2 20mm Shvaks in the nose and a 37mm cannon through the prop.

So unlike the T55E1... This Battle Pass vehicle is not a hot mess. The aircraft is very potent, the flight model feels done well enough, and is fun to play. If you are thinking about picking this up. I would recommend it.

Bo always sounds so much more focused and calm and just generally together when he’s in the air. Put him in a ground vehicle and it seems like about at least three quarters of his time is spent in varying degrees panic. Both are entertaining, but in wonderfully different ways. ^.^

I can see why, in planes the only place for the enemy to use camouflage is when they're below you and me, an American player, is always outclimbed so I can see everyone above me and just go away till they give up their altitude. In ground the menu map color and the actual map you spawn is is different and enemies abuse the shit out of camo and shrubs and hide.

Air RB is where most of time I is/was and I don't have to stare at every angle and pixel for something to jump out and shoot me lol. I also had the pleasure of learning from RamJB, Bismarck, and other great Air combat players on tactics, strategy, and they really helped develop my skillsets when I was a young WT player.

I actually read some book about WWII and a pilot mentioned that he had a near miss with the parachuting German, but a second later he nearly lost control of his plane. He looked at the wing and realised that the parachute got caught in it after all and he has a very surprised German hanging from his plane...

I remember a story about the Luftwaffe in Africa having a semi-hardass commander that basically told all his pilots that if he saw anyone shooting downed pilots or parachutes, he'd shoot his own men himself. So what did the Luftwaffe do? They sure as Hell did not shoot parachutes or downed pilots.

Was a little surprised when I saw the cooler flaps open over the top of the wing instead of below. An unusual layout to be sure. Although its coolant system buried throughout the wing seems almost He-100 with how fragile it is. 9:38 Although you mention the Chaika warding away evil spirits, but it does to be honest. I do consider it more dangerous than some of the more modern Russian props. Especially when mixed among the fast ones. Good stuff as always Bo and team.

Looks good, maybe a little too good for 3.3. From my own experience with it in the test flight that comes with the BP, it was pretty easy to do well in and surprisingly durable for a single-engine fighter. Given the ridiculous repair cost this thing's launching with, I suspect the devs knew this would be slightly OP at the BR they were putting it. I'd rather have it be 3.7 and 8k to repair than 3.3 and 16k, is all I'm saying.

I swear. Every time Bo n' Co. do gameplay vids of planes, they do extremely well in terms of killing other planes. Whenever I go, I either die early on because pilot snipes from 1.2km away are ok, and if I do survive my first encounter, I get surprised by a 109 or 190 that for some magical reason I cant hear.

When I’m diving on someone that looks afk, I will oftentimes turn off my engine so they don’t hear me coming. Often, the first indication they get that I am there is 20mms slamming into their engine ;-;

@@cheesuschrist5017 I think part of the problem is that I just completely suck balls in Air RB/AB. I really only use air in ground rb, which is really the only thing I play. I dont suck quite as bad there, but I still get bs pilot snipes thanks to epic 8mm plate that is supposed to protect my Stuka pilot :/ - Anything pens 8mm with ease. First P-47 is 4.7 yes? My stuka lineup for ground rb is 3.7, so if I get up-tiered, and said P-47 pilot is using ground belts which just so happen to have around 40 ish mm of pen, I am a bloody pinata.

Used the test drive in ground battle. It's a very good cas plane with the 50 ROUNDS OF 37. in comparison the yak9t gets 30 rounds .7 brs higher. And it gets rockets and bombs. Flies like a dream, wjats not to love

It's not particularly difficult. You just got to make slow, gradual maneuvers. I've flown a plane back to base with the vertical stabilizer and elevators blown off multiple times.
