Rocket vehicles like the Sturmtiger are very popular among WT players, but there's one that you don't often see in battles. The BM-13N Katyusha might just be the most exotic rocket arty vehicle in the game (except for the RBT-5, but that's more of a hybrid). Given it isn't great at destroying tanks, there might be a good reason for that.

At least, this lineup would be effective. The calliope and the M26 T99 can really stomp because they have gun depression, usable armour and they have a gun in addition to the rockets. Plus, they have a working turret that can eliminate the need for precise positioning to hit the enemy.

It’s called that because it IS the 120S. The M60-2000 is an entirely different tank that people mistakenly think is the 120S. What we’re getting is the 120S, not the M60-2000.

@@ZzVinniezZ The M60-2000 was a different upgrade proposal for the M60. It’s essentially an M60A1 with additional armor installed around the turret and the fire control system of the M1A1. It retained the 105mm gun of the M60. The 120S, meanwhile, is what we’re getting in-game: an M60A1 hull with an entire M1A1 turret plopped on top. KZbin really likes deleting links, but if you’d like I could try to find a way to share pictures of the actual M60-2000.

the only reason the BM-13N is so rare is because the event it was featured occurred during a holiday so nobody was online, and the task was to get an Ace with the mini rocket tank, which fires one of the worst rockets in game. This was before overpressure/hullbreak too. Oh, and the required vehicle was a premium that got price hiked right before the event. So the ONLY reason the BM-13N was actually achievable was because there were so many people in the crappy rocket tank that mixed battles allowed you to kill other rocket farmers and everyone not in the event were using SPAA to stem the flood of rocket farmers. Add Katyusha to the list of 'vehucles players want to obtain but gaijin says no give me $75 for premium copy pasted vehicles'

Ironically, this thing actually has a lot of elevation, but no depression. Only its user is allowed to have depression, but not the vehicle.

Just so you're all aware because a lot of people don't seem to know. Both of the rocket trucks have adjustable suspension, you can incline them forward to fire closer to you.

I believe the 20 might be the worst vehicle in the game. Slow, massive, immobile, weak autocannon with HVAP, can be 50caled anywhere, MILANs never fail to let me down. Its astonishing. its the only vehicle i have a 0.5 KD in.

@@Vaiski25 It can somewhat but the turret traverse is pretty slow for keeping up with aircraft, plus limited gun elevation. You really gotta get the gun velocity down and hope they fly into your line of fire, plus you’re a giant target so if you mess up they win. G6 can work but they proxy fuze trigger is small aswell as how far you can turn the turret, on top of this a long reload. It does have good elevation so its really best used against dive bombers but you gotta pray that you nail them before they get any shots off at you because otherwise you’re dead. Bosvark is decent. The 37s are really good against planes, if you hit them they're basically done for. However its a big target so you have to play it sneaky to avoid getting strafed and if they drop a bomb near you its over. the cab of the truck also limits the angle the gun can shoot. Best strat is finding a building as you can have your turret crew peaking out while the cab guys remain in cover. Skink is a mixed bag, you get great armor to defend against most aircraft cannons but the polstens do surprisingly little damage, if I had a penny for every "hit" I've got I could buy Gaijin and fix the game. Ystervark is somewhat underrated. You get an R3 gun so you can be a gremlin against tanks and its a much smaller target/more hideable than most SA vehicles. This does come at the cost of a more compact, smaller crew so if a plane does spot you then you best hope theres some overhead cover and he doesnt have bombs otherwise you’re dead. It also shares the Bosvark's issue of the gun cab limiting shooting angles but even worse so.

Another rare sight in ground RB is the crusader mk.3, a great light tank with a powerful 6 pounder gun, good mobility and a low profile. A vehicle you should definitely play because I've been desperately trying to get you to for months now

That vehicle is unlocked when you purchase the Brit starter pack so it's not very rare at all. Great vehicle for sure.

14:15 if you hit an enemy that is spawn protected, even with splash damage it will appear as if your projectile (or bomb even) hit them directly

Back when Gaijin kind of had an idea of what interesting but also achievable events were. You were given a test drive for 10 matches of the BM-8-24 and all you had to do was get 7 kills in one match with it and that's it. Got mine on my 7th match and the last 2 kills were aircraft lol

I find it fun on arcade where your ammo will reload itself. Just sit back, aim at the general direction of the enemy or a cap they’re taking, and fire a salvo indirect and hope to hit something. Visually for everyone else, I’m sure it’s great

I got into a 20 minute artillery dual with katushya while driving a type 75 mlrs. It was cross map as we lobbed rocket after rocket moving meters at a time to avoid counter battery. Neither of us got eachother but accidentally got passing opponents who didnt notice the rocket barrages

Yeah, I don't know what Gaijin did, but overpressure is being very funky right now, even for tanks with APHE. Shot a jadgtiger's UFP with the Ho-Ri production and it somehow overpressured his whole crew

Plural for octopus is octopode I believe, this is because octo is ancient Greek for 8, and "pus" is "foot" (octo+ pus= eight foot), and the plural for pus is likely along the lines of pede, hence words like "pedestrian".

According to the dictionary, Smote is in fact the past tense form of the verb smite. Also, In English, the plural of octopus, is currently considered to be just octopus, although at various times, Octopi, Octopuses and Octopodes has been accepted.

With broken Shvak ballistics and generally 20mm behaving like pocket nukes, Pe-8 is a goddamn deathstar. Now, lets mention the fact that gunners have full stabilisation, so Pe-8 tumbling through the air is still perfectly capable of 1km sniping my fighter plane running away at 450km/h. God I hate Pe-8. And Stug III used to have several holes in armor, and I guess it still does.

If I remember correctly, the Katyusha and the other Rocket truck have Pneumatic Suspension in the front to give you those 3 or 5 degrees lore depression. Might be useful in the future. Also, stay safe during your surgery

You can use it as proper artillery if you want. Get Odd to run a light tank and spot/squad mark for you while you sit in an elevated position. Alternatively you can sit where you can cover a cap because you already know the range solo. It's not spectacular, but it is effective enough. Probably better than trying to TD with that thing.

Unlocking this with the free trial was funny, because I had to get the BM-8-24 rockets to kill shermans under the old old system. It was all shermans on turret hits that did it too. God bless the sponson ammo would have been impossible for a F2P player to get this otherwise.

15cm sIG is a big dumb HE gun at 1.0. The HE round has 61mm of pen and vaporises every target even when uptiered. And the HEAT has enough pen to threaten late war heavies when purposefully taken into higher BRs.
