Lucky shot but you sometimes get a feel for it as half the time in a spit during a turn fight the target is obscured under your nose. Nice when you score a hit though!

Crazy that WT allows you to spin your head well beyond 180 degrees and completely extend your head beyond the canopy glass in VR ... TrackIR sadly gives no such advantages.

Yeah, I cant get on with TrackIR, with VR where your head goes your eyes go too, you can even look below the seat :)

I'm not experienced in this kind of set up at all, what are the pedals used for if you have throttle, pitch, and axis by your hands?

That’s for rudder control. You can have a twist axis on the stick but it’s impossible to push a stick around without accidentally twisting it a bit and inadvertently using too much rudder ….and end up in a spin.

@@2bparistol8 makes all the difference, especially when trying to recover from a wing stall in turns.

@@2bparistol8 you have to dial down the settings for spits. You will have 2 settings, one for them and one for all other planes. I set pitch multiplier to .6 and linearity to 1.5, sensitivity at 100 for all axes. Roll i set at about .8 multiplier and 1 on linearity. You can still turn very fast with very little input from the stick, it’s all down to speed. Around 220mph and it turns beautifully, above 300 it can lock up and I quickly hit the pitch trim to dial in a little more elevator and then wind it back after the turn. You won’t stall as often but you can still end up in a spin if you yank the stick too much too quickly. Practice practice practice is all I can say.

My grandma can play with spitfire or a6m using a wood chair.... In wt you just need a good turn rate. In real simulators, this airplane are limited, planes like a fw190, p51, or other fast plane are better.. In wt the dogfight consists in "when can turn". Hahahahaha
