Counterpoint, I don’t think player count would be a big deal if the maps were 4-5x bigger and more useful things to do besides just A2A. Such as SEAD, better anti-ship weapons and targets to use them on, AWACs, etc.

EC, bigger maps with more things to do like more interesting ground targets would also make ground attackers more fun and useful. even making realstic EC with the current maps (so just like sim but then realistic battles) would be a lot better and more fun then what we currently have IMO.

guys just a disclaimer for the people that think the Python-4 is on pair with the 9X, IRIS-T, MICA-IR or ASRAAM, the Python-4 is still a missile with technology from the 80s like the AAM-3 both missiles were developed practically at the same time, the AAM-3 got put in service in 1992 and that thing have IR/UV seeker (Dual-Band), the Python-4 got put in service in 1994 IR/UV too (Dual-Band) both missiles are similar when we talk about IRCCM technology, the only difference here is the special manouvrability that the Python-4 have which is better, but if we compare the AAM-3 and the Python-4 with 9X, IRIS-T, ASRAAM, MICA-IR those are a different breed because they combine a full agressive manouvrability with and incredible IRCCM technology IIR (Imagine Seekers) thing that is a totally whole upgrade on IRCCM performance, soo... this is only a comentary for the ones who are not familiarized with the Python family and think that the Python-4 is a holy missile that would spank buts everywhere this its not the case the missile can be fooled more easier than an 9X, IRIS-T, ASRAAM, ETC, the truly one that you should fear is the Python-5 that thing is a monster of its own but even some missiles like the IRIS-T can beat the Python-5 in some aspects. thank you for dedicate part of your time to read this! have a nice day guys! PS: right now the Baz Meshupar is in a poor state the jet is just an upgraded F-15A which is correct the radar is just a revision of the Normal AN/APG-63 that got upgraded with the ability to use AMRAAMs, right now the Baz Meshupar does not have Datalink soo this mean not datalink channels too to guide multiple amraams and does not have TWS and does not have Radar HMD soo... if we compare the Baz Meshupar with the rest of top tiers right now is in a rough spot, soo... what am saying with this is that in the next major update we have the possibility of getting the Python-4 for the Baz Meshupar in compensation because they can do nothing more about it the radar is just an "improved" APG-63 renamed to APG-63 PSP simple as that, soo maybe the Python-4 would help to make it competitive at closer ranges like it happened with the Netz and like they did with the Kurnass 2K when they removed the Sparrows which is historical correct.

You play it on much larger maps and have varied objectives. It’s far more enjoyable than the 3-5 minute deathmatch that air rb is. At one point, air rb did have an enduring confrontation game mode which people very much enjoyed despite its problems (which have mostly been fixed for sim battles). The prevailing conspiracy theory for why it hasn’t returned is that it would make the game less frustrating to grind through the tech trees therefor hurting gaijin’s premium sales (which would be ridiculous considering that people are happy to spend more money on a game they’re enjoying).

Meta wise the best will be without any doubt the MICA, probably the best seeker since it’s one of the most modern, he turn a bit less than the others but still really tight and you would easily get 10+ km kills with it, he also has INS so he can be fired like a fox 3 and lock the target like a fox 3 would do except it’s with a IR seeker and not a radar, just imagine being tracked by an almost unflrable missile that can turn 50G even 7 seconds after launch (he do around 7 to 9km in these 7 seconds, depending on the launch parameters)

You are gentle with the 10 km it has 60 km of range like the EM version so at 40 it will be already in the air and won't trigger any rwr and have a 20 km seeker just silent death only a MAWS can save you but it will be to close for flares

@@gerwhitetiger6386 we wont see iris-t its just too much of a wild card, imagine some guy flaring it just for it to do a 180 degree turn and re-lock the aircraft, we will see aim-9x and r73m first since even most nato aircraft today still use the 9x, even the gripen has the option use 9x and Iris-T. and the aim-9x is actually somewhat flare-able as we saw with the case of of the f-18 shooting a 9x at a su-22 irl, and the su-22 spoofed the 9x.

IR missiles are a bit useless now, the lack of range is the biggest problem. Lately 9M is amazing ignoring flares, but because the very short range i dont fire then to much in battles with the gripen, despite have only 4 darter(who is notoriously worse that AIM-120). So, more turn i feel is a bit irrelevant since 30gs is already unavoidable. Better IRCCM(specially for all aspect shots) but mostly range, is what IR missiles need now to be competitive.

Aim-9X block 1 60g turning and improved aerodynamic design improved flight performance is ok but the Aim-9X-2 is where everything changes 100G turning extremely good IRCCM very improved performance and datalink wide FOV seeker meaning if it misses you it will turn around and try and hit you again we are getting to the point in warthunder air RB where US will constantly be dominating the sky with all the available public knowledge of these aircraft and missile systems because other countries dont release this much info about the missiles and jets they have

It is because the R77 is poorly made, many pages say that it should have a little bit more range than the aim120, like 2km or 5 km, but because of its fins, it loses more speed in turns, in the game it loses speed by going straight without doing anything, it has less range than a sparrow at 12km is already subsonic doesn't make sense lol and the seeker is garbage it only works in head on,

Russian mains having for over a year the best missile(R27) ingame(and maybe still being the best), while 7F/7M was underperforming and bugged, a huge biased ground top tier, with still biased Ka50/52, and Kh29/38 being absolutely OP, while AGM-65 was usseles for over 2 years until now: The game is balanced. Aim-9X should be in-game long time ago. There is currently no ways to counter R-73 in close combat. I personally made some kills with R-73 at insane agnles which would be impossible with any other missile in the game.

Nice bait bud. No way to counter R73 is beyond skill issue. Preflare and slight turn is all it takes to defeat the missile, while you have to do calculus to dodge Aim9M.
