Nice gameplay and yea i agree with the roots part, although it has always been like that even on previous versions of the map and trust me, on ny first play though i lost all of my 40 lives on that hallway, i was using the demon hunter and that boi had medium armor which means i was taking alot more damage from normal damage types (eg those treants) i attempted many times after that with different heroes and it went smoothly tbh, anyways dont mind me lol just wanted to share my experience 😅

Greetings, SpasMaster here. I am the creator of Sunken City and I've decided to comment here to shed some light on a few topics brought throughout the video. Let me start with a general statement that will likely address most of them: Sunken City has been fundamentally designed since day one (back in 2010) to be a 3-player Co-op map. Every single design and balance decision is taken with 3 Players in mind. Things that may seem (or even be) impossible in Single Player are possible with 2+ Players. Things that may seem like extremely challenging, naturally appear so if faced-on by a single player, but also naturally become less challenging with more players: - The cave spawns too many mobs for you to solo? Much less of a Challenge with 2 Players with you. - The Entangling Roots seem to last forever and come one after the other? You may not even get targeted by them with 2 other Players, especially ones with summons. - A boss Challenge seems impossible as solo? You get the point. If you have played World of Warcraft (which it seems you have), a good analogy would be to go in a 5-man Dungeon alone and being surprised that things are difficult or impossible to kill. Now, with this map, this shouldn't and doesn't mean that the map is not solo-able, as you know. I've made sure that it is. But I don't balance it for a solo player to have a smooth run. There will be things that seem very hard or even impossible, and the idea there is for this to encourage you to get a group of friends and play together. As you see, the Treants that you've mentioned are too difficult to deal with, you do manage to kill with 1 life lost. What would have happened if there were 2 more players with you, one of which would've been a healer? Suddenly they might even seem weak... And as previously said, even if playing with others is not possible or perhaps is not your cup of tea, the map is still absolutely solo-able even on Insane Heroic. Few other remarks: - The first cave can never spawn Level 11 mobs. I think 4 is the highest. - Entangling Roots prevent attacks in Warcraft 3. Has always been the case. They only prevent you from moving in World of Warcraft. - The map has been in active development from 2010 to January of 2023. The active development has certainly stopped, but I am still around to provide bug fixes and maintenance. Everything you encounter in the map from creeps, to heroes, to all customizations, to items and everything in-between has been thoroughly tested over and over for years by an incredibly active community. So if something doesn't seem "balanced", ask yourself the question: Would the presence of 2 more players change that in any way? And if the answer is yes, well... then it corresponds to its intended balance, which is a full team. Glad you enjoy it and I think your video can be useful to many people!

Absolutely amazing to see you here. Thank you for your comment. I play through it more as a reference to myself when I decide to play through it more. It's extremely difficult but very fun. As a guy who always want(s/ed) a Single-Player World of Warcraft this is really cool. I understand it's for 3 people and that's the balance. Any complaining or anger is mostly directed at myself for not having the skill or prowess to complete certain things. For example, I still don't know how to get the legendary item. I've played through a few times since this video with silly things like cooldown DK (so I can span Blood Strike and get like 10k hp). I find new things every time. I hope this video helps some people with some of the puzzles. I know the point is to figure them out yourself, but also being ADHD some things took me HOURS to fugire out and I'd rather just have a reference for future runs. Keep up the Great work, Sunken city is a hidden MASTERPEICE. Hopefully someday we can get it on Reforged Graphics, or even a sequel.

does this map work only in reforged version of the game?

As far as I know it's been updated to only work on Reforged, I'm sure there is a versions list and one of the older ones works with TFT. I'm going tobalso assume it's probably buggy or different than my walk-through.

I tried those heroes and didn't like them. Now that I have a better grasp on this game, I could try it. This was more to act as a walkthrough than a 100%.
