Warcraft 3 Reforged supposedly will alter the original Warcraft 3 campaigns, so let's blast through Reign of Chaos and The Frozen Throne on Hard difficulty before Reforged is released! These videos will contain all cinematics and dialogue along with explanations of the strategies I'm using as a semi-walkthrough.
I am nowhere near as experienced with these maps as the StarCraft 2 campaigns, so it won't be quite as polished of a playthrough, but we will succeed through Hard difficulty nonetheless!

Seeing as Varimathras has a custom set of spells, turns out you actually never get to play a true Dreadlord in any campaign, whereas I'm pretty sure you get a shot at almost all other faction heroes.

Wow, you blitzed through this so fast! When I played it, I could only possess one base before the other 2 woke up. The main thing which made you more efficient was to focus on destroying production buildings only and that goblin land mine took out so much of Detheroc's health.

What if Detheroc had been controlling Garithos since the beginning, that's why he sent Kael to his doom, because Detheroc knew that the blood elves could not be controlled ?

You had it correct in your orb talk in the ending According to liquidpedia (but it's also same in my experience) priority is 1. Arrows (so sylvanas black arrows, tyrande, vash etc) 2. Mask of death 3. Orbs 4. Passive effects (like slow poison) All orbs have same priority if you have more than one in inventory the position in inventory decides (it's 1 2 3 4 5 6 So in this case if you have black arrows on and orb of corruption sylvanas willl just do extra dmg but only will apply the armor debuff if the spell is off.

Except for shadow orb, I think. But it doesn't have an additional effect and it's already long gone anyway.

The Shadow Orb is an orb in name only as it does not provide an actual ‘orb effect’, which is also why it doesn’t conflict with anything.

In 1.29 you could still possess workers and make them build stuff for you. therefore you could rush their base with human and undead units without making use of banshee's outside possessing them

In this mission, I love to destroy Garithos base first, leaving Detheroc alive. Then I use Sylvanas to go into his base and steal his Frost Wyrms. Once I have 50 Frost Wyrms, I crush him like candy.

Whatever is the FIRST Orb equipped on the inventory, it's the one used first. The second orb equipped will still be used on some situations if I remember. Having 2 Orbs stack especially on its total damage.

I'm pretty sure that orb of darkness doesn't stack with sylvanas' arrow, they essentially adds the same debuff on an enemy and the arrow debuff will always take over the orb.

Nah dawg, so long as the debuffs are different then you can apply as many as you want. In any case, Orb of Darkness does not apply a debuff at all, you just get a skeleton if the wielder gets the killing blow - no prior debuff required. Sylvanas’ skeletons from Black Arrow likely take priority, which is what I’d expect and want.

So Jay 2 thing to take into consideration that I have picked up on when I played Warcraft 3 1: due to the fact that posses and charm work differently in the sort of one is taking over a unit by using a banshee and the other is flat out changing the facton of a unit that it is possible to "charm" a worker and they keep there ability to build and the other is I'm not 100% sure about this but as long as something is part of "Faction" they do not have a unit level

I don't think he had any other choice, and besides, I doubt he'll succeed in retaking the capital without Sylvannas's help anyway also, he had the chance/upper hand of neutral creep mercenaries at his side, but what does he do? He goes out and blasts them out to be wasted in "The Crossing".

I always found possession to be weird. It doesn't feel like genuine possession, if it were they wouldn't have their personalities mainly intact. Second is the fact it's pretty useless... It's good on paper but practically useless. It's only good if you can manage to snag a worker which is risky at the very least and a waste of resources. Which brings me to my next bit, they really should have made possession an ability that can be disabled, like dispel magic can cast out banshees or a banshee can leave a possessed unit's body or at the very least made it so that the banshee returns after the possessed creature dies.

game-wise, possessing is essentially immediately removing one unit of ur opponent from play. its like polymorph, except it cannot be dispelled and transfers control of the unit to you. also, with regards to personality-wise, its just a matter of game mechanics... in starcraft 2 when the zerg infestor uses neural parasite to take control of a target unit, the unit voice commands and etc are altered. anyways i think possession is useful if you wanna quickly remove an irritating unit (i.e. spellcasters) from play & turn the tables. i wouldnt count on said unit coming to ur side bc the opponent will likely try to eliminate the possessed unit immediately considering how useful it is, but in the very least that unit is removed
