Warcraft 3 Stronghold Gameplay

Why bother building towers in this map during the very beginning? Why not just send for max income,stronghold towers seem to be good enough to handle peasants and the towers belong to players,so no gold will be lost.

@@user-jc1kq1qb5j Beacause you want the gold from creep kills as fast as possible to be able to send more and get more income as when you would only send. Finding the balance of upgrading towers to get all kills and sending rest for income is what these maps are all about.

Custom games are probably the only reason I'd consider buying warcraft reforge, I'm not too keen on paying full price for just a texture pack but to relive them hay days of RTS custom games might be worth it.

Guys if you are new to WC3, you can spambuild towers by holding SHIFT, chose the tower you want to build and just click away. Also, every unit, upgrade and tower has a hotkey. You can also put units in controlgroups. For example the Head Quarters you can simply click on, then press CTRL and 1, and that would bind it to the key 1 so you dont have to hover over the map all the way up there to upgrade it. Also, in tower defense maps a few slowing or stunning towers are always great ! And im not trolling, just trying to help.

For anyone one who's interested to play this, you can pretty much play the same thing in Starcraft 2 with updated graphics. Starcraft 2 is free to play/download and this type of game is called "Income War" if I remember correctly. Just download the game and go in the "custom" section.

Warcraft just has a very special like classic cozy feel to it for people who grew up with the game. That difference in graphics or even a bigger difference don't matter at all if you consider that

From my perspective, War 3 is easier to play around with World Editor, the Galaxy Editor is very annoying. I do war 3 because of its re-play value. I got many years of playing with just the editor. Custom maps are 1 thing but they are not everything.

Assigning a hotkey to your barracks makes it easier to keep your barracks' on 100% uptime (constantly produce units)

Okay, yes but no. You mainly focus on Income to win this. Build&upgrade 6 towers, send units, and keep spam sending until you have stacked money to upgrade hall. Then after an upgrade, first upgrade your towers as far as they go, then spam units until you can afford the next hall, etc etc- That's a guaranteed top of the leaderboards, and no leaks, other than the first like 30 seconds or so before you get your towers up

Hey zeusescloud, been watching your vids for a little while, and damn it pains me to see you upgrading from the last archer tower, the last two upgrades are a waste of money, and less dps, when you can make archers you should start spamming them and upgrading them to max, dont upgrade past archers, they are best dps in game, ofc if enemy team is far behind there is no need to do it immidiatly but if you have a good enough defence set up at some point not even the hardest mobs will get through
